In Australia, we sometimes still have to actually buy music on CD's because it's Cheaper Delivered from Amazon UK or somewhere, than to buy it on any digital download service available in Australia. Seriously. The brits or yanks charge us less to fly a piece of plastic here than our record distribution companies will let the music be sold for online to us.
But but but you forgot, the cost of conducting business here is much higher even tho digital download does not require physical premises the costs more in Australia and labours that cost more in Australia, all that makes perfect sense.
