    Is there anything discounted?

    • +8

JV you do understand that something can be cheap but not discounted right?

but with aldi if you wait long enough they might get discounted to clear the stock.

      • +1

        That doesn't answer my question

        • +3

          You didn't answer mine either.

    • +11

I assume you just have some script that writes this in every aldi post?

We get it, you don't like aldi or find their sales a 'bargain'.. Based on previous deal votes, clearly others do…

      • -1

        you don't like aldi

        i didn't say that…

Based on previous deal votes, clearly others do…

So what are the savings on these items ?

        • +2

"So what are the savings on these items ?"

Probably more than the 99c or so that your history of iTunes app posts save…

          Dove bar, $1
          Currently $2.34 each in a 2 pack at Woolworth… So there's a saving of $1.34

Now go find a more useful thread to actually raise an issue about…

        • @SBOB:

Probably more than the 99c or so that your history of iTunes app posts save…

I've saved hundreds of $'s in apps thanks to Ozbargain…

          Dove bar, $1

I stopped using Dove after a severe allergic reaction.

Also, it's the responsibility of the OP to demostrate why the post is a bargain…

        • @jv:I stopped using Dove after a severe allergic reaction.

And I stopped using ios apps when I started using android….
My cats breath also smells like cat food…

        • @SBOB:

And I stopped using ios apps when I started using android….

I didn't… When I got my Android, I realised how good iphones really are…

        • @jv:
"When I got my Android, I realised how good iphones really are…"

seriously…you want to revert to an ios v android troll..

No, you do… read the thread…

          @jv:

i was pointing out something pointless and irrelevant to a 'deal' similar to your personal dislike/lack of interest in dove soap… you have in the past posted ios apps so thats what i referenced.. if you had posted previous deals for cat food, I would have mentioned that I do not like/need cat food as I have a dog.. i may have been to subtle for you

but enough of this.. every time i come across one of your pointless posts I end up having the Billy Madison quote running through my head
"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

        • -1

          @SBOB:

similar to your personal dislike/lack of interest in dove soap…

          I never said I dislike dove soap…

In fact, quite the opposite https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/141616
          (if you bothered to search)

What I said was that I had to stop using Dove after a severe allergic reaction.

(By the way, dove soap was 75 cents a bar at Chemist Warehouse… much cheaper than Aldi)

What is the output current of the USB ports on the travel adaptor?

      • +2

Your link doesn't mention the current

        • +5

Your link doesn't mention the current

it does, you just don't know where to click

        • @Tal_Shiar:

          Can't see it anywhere…

        • +1

@diddy50: click the link, send them an email…

        • @Tal_Shiar:

click the link, send them an email…

I did that, and it still didn't show the output current…

Agree with JV. This is just spam. Post a bargain/discount off regular price compared to other stores is fine.
If people want to read the aldi cat go to their home page.
Otherwise we call this site ozlassoo

Post a bargain/discount off regular price compared to other stores is fine.

if you dont like it, you can easily remove all aldi related bargains from your feed….

      • if you dont like it, you can easily remove all aldi related bargains from your feed….

Some Aldi posts actually have price reductions, this one doesn't

        • +1

An item does not need to be a price reduction to be a bargain… If that's the new rule, we are going to miss out on many new 'bargains' being posted that are often positively received by the ozbargain community.. (unlike many of your posts)

        • +1

          @SBOB:

          If that's the new rule

          No new rules…

    Travel Adaptor seems great.

    • not if the usb output is 500mA

  • +1

http://www.bauhn.com.au/product-listing/universal-travel-ada… under the support tab you can download the instruction manual, it states taht the total output for the usb ports is 3.1A

    • This was only added in the last few days. To save you the download here is the important part:

Specifications: This product can charge devices via USB with up to 3.1A in total. When you connect two or more products that require more than 3.1A, the adaptor may cut off the power into the USB ports. If this has happens, unplug one of your devices and the adaptor will continue charging the other connected device(s).

Cutting off power to a port when overloaded isn't normal is it?

    • I tried to buy from Aldi this morning for my travel in couple of weeks time, but I can't find them in store, so I asked the staff there, he said at the moment no Aldi will have them, apparently they were being recalled this morning by Aldi HQ.

      • yeah that was all stores - they reckon they are expecting them out tho in the next few days. got a slightly different answer from the two stores i asked.

        • My wife was told they have them in stock but are not allowed to sell them until they get the OK from head office.

        • And now it's been removed from the Aldi and Bauhn sites. I wonder if getting electrical approval was harder than they expected.
