Was going to buy this today but its not full HD, and, couldn't find any reviews. So I brought a telly elsewhere.

    • Kids don't need FHD I think they can do without while they are young

After those iPad and FHD tablets the kids want FHD now.

Don't know why a parent would give ipads to kids 10 and under

@TRENT86: They're actually used in schools as learning tools these days just FYI. Not to mention good entertainment when your on the road on long trips etc.

        • @combatant: Yeah but why get them an ipad when you can get a pendopad, a kid is not going to turn around and say " why is my tablet or tv not fhd"

        • you dont use a tv 10cm from your face

        • @TRENT86: True, but minimum of 1280x720 in my books. Anything much below that looks like rubbish.

        • @combatant: Again, the kids do not whinge about Quality of a screen and if they do, you have brought up brats already

        • @TRENT86: lol. Fair enough. Maybe it's more about the parent wanting to give them something of half decent quality and not some bit of crap. Anyways, my original point was that they are used as learning tools these days. They don't replace the old fashioned ways but they do have their place.

        • @combatant: Yeah I agree but an ipad is just ridiclous

      • Yes fine for the young ones but as they get older then so does that quality.

    • what viewing distance do you normally have on a 22" 'TV' to require FHD?

    • +2

      Where did you take it?

    1680 x 1050? 16:10 on a TV? Interesting…

  • Older computer monitor and good set-top box… DONE! Generally uses less power as well!

    • +1

Might be a bit quiet though :)

      • Plug in a cheapie set or headphones :) It costs me less than 1c per hour

  • Any idea what the warranty is on these?

    • +1

Says you get 12 months if you buy it online so should be the same if you got it from Target

Trent you are a deal machine, slightly awkward resolution but great for the price.

there was a 24 in Aldi model 1080P for 99 during one of those special 'sale of specials' (not those release week stuff, but those after release week no one buys them and they sell it again on special)
    that was originally 219..

  • "This would be good for the kids Bedroom" - With kids, I thought Bedroom was for sleeping!

    • Lol yes when it's time to sleep around 8pm, do you think they sleep in there all day?
