Sure, why not. Just use HDMI and your set, good enough at couch distances.
Probably not brilliant for text or serious work.
Probably won't be good, it doesn't support 1080p or disabling overscan, both of which are important for using a TV as a monitor. These issues mean that most of the start menu appears off the edge of the screen, and games will be blurry/choppy. Avoid!
