I noticed various Crescent Brand tools in the electrical section at Bunnings were marked down to $15 on clearance (orange tags). They are no longer on the Bunnings website. These were selling for up to $70 each.

I believe the following items were available, but there may be more:

ratchet crimper for insulated terminals

ratchet crimper for uninsulated terminals

wire cutters

wire strippers

wire stripping pliers

electricians pliers

needle-nosed pliers

I think I saw a

set of assorted (8pc?) insulated electrician's screwdrivers

in there too, not pictured.

I've been buying crimping tools recently and haven't been able to get decent ratchet crimpers locally for under $20, so these are a bargain at $15.

Some/all of these tools are also sold at Masters but they are full price. Not sure why they are being cleared out but keep an eye on this space at Masters in case they clear them out too. I doubt they will price match a clearance item.

Saw the clearance tags on the shelf at Broadmeadows, Victoria, but the hooks were empty. I got some tools from the Epping store which seemed to have a healthy supply of a couple of dozen units. Check your local store for stock, YMMV. Good luck!

        Yeah - you're usually so negative. I was hoping you weren't terminal. But is this a current deal? I wonder if there will be any resistance to this deal on the ozbargain circuit(board).

    I was looking for strippers recently and got sent to King St, should have known to try bunnings, would have saved me a fortune.

      Yes at Coburg. Spoke to salesman, said this offer had been withdrawn from the shelves but reinstated by head office. They appear not to have made up their mind whether to return them to the supplier or clear them out. The latest is to sell them until gone. There weren't any orange tags on anything, but half of them still scan for $15. No luck getting the $160 ratcheting cable cutter at this price though :( 1000v pliers, screwdrivers, crimping tools still available at this price, maybe others too.

    This appears to be a price match- the bottom right corner has the date this is valid until. So this is likely to be region specific

      I went in to Bonnyrigg in Sydney and the bloke there looked them up and said they were a live item and so the 1000V pliers(only one they had) were 47.50. The date in the bottom right looks like 31/12/14, which seems like a long time for a sale. Do you think if I show him this he'll buckle?

        Try a larger store. I found out that the massive Bunnings nearest me, is in fact about 70% of stock and only had two of the items but was out of stock of 1. So I went to the neighbouring store and found 5 items on sale for $15, one I already had.

        I would show them this, and the date on the tag. It is indeed until 31/12 2014. Check the electrical aisles, not tools. Thats where I found mine.

        Follow up, after buying the long nose pair above at M'dore, I went to Clowntown today and found them in the electrical aisle as others have mentioned, not the tool shop, and bought the flat nose pliers, side cutters, and auto wire strippers along with a pair of HP branded cable cutters all at $15 each.

    I went to Bayswater Bunnings on Friday and bought $150 worth. Most of the tools were not ticketed $15 but but all scanned $15. I bought for my son and husband. Not sure what all the tools where called but definately found them in the electrical area. I even got some that were ticketed at over $50 but scanned at $15. I love a bargain.
