"The updated Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II no longer comes standard with lambs wool floor mats, a sunroof, remote central locking, electrically-adjusted rear seats or aircraft-style tables that fold down behind the front seats"

What the hell? No remote central locking as standard in a 2014 vehicle? That's really poor form.

“We want to make Rolls-Royce more accessible to younger buyers,”

I think you'll need more than a 100k price drop.

    • +2

If they removed the electric windows for winders they could have saved another $75k.

      • What kind of electric windows that costs $75k? Is it powered by Anti-Matter core? Can it cure cancer?

  • +1

I will wait for it to drop to $500,000 before I bite the bullet.

  • "The updated Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II no longer comes standard with lambs wool floor mats, a sunroof, remote central locking, electrically-adjusted rear seats or aircraft-style tables that fold down behind the front seats. Instead, these items are now individual options."

    $545,000 and they can't include a sunroof?!

    • +1

This is where they get you with the extra options. Want a sunroof? Extra 5K. Want a different finish? Extra 2K.

      • Its a Roller mate. Sunroof $50K, Finsh $25K. (don't forget + GST)

    • +1

You can make your own sun-roof with a Jigsaw picked up from Masters on price-match from Bunnings

Whilst wondering about how many Eneloops would fit in the Ghost, and whether or not the latest version runs on them or not, I found this article about starting an engine with household batteries :

This is for D-cell batteries, but it gives an idea. For AA, it is both too early in the day and too long since school Physics for me to tackle the number.

Got me thinking if multi millionaires do frequent ozbargain ?

  • +2

oh no . just bought one and paid $645K !!!

  • Thanks Op, picked one up today!

  • +1

I think this is price error, wonder if they will honor it

  • -3

Oh right, because ozbargainers are millionaires who can afford to buy $500k car every year

    • It seems a lot of them are driving BMW's and use Dyson and other swish appliances so it can't be long now…

      • I doubt that. These guys will die for a 50¢ Yogurt sample, if u say anything against it, would get u neg. So pity

    • Why the neg. care to elaborate

  • +1

Looks like Rolls Royce are only ten years behind the styling of the Hyundai Grandeur.

  • I knew it! I should have wait for one week for its discount!

  • Bargain! I'll take two please!

  • Nice car but we are Bentley people…

  • Just in time. the ashtray is full in my usual Rolls.

  • Haven't checked the specs. Does the price include Mr. Fusion or am I going to have to get that installed some time in the future?

    • I've be there and got it installed. I went a few years further into the future to check if it had saved me money in the long run, but it hadn't (won't?) cover(ed) the installation and time travel costs, unless you already had the time machine for something else.

  • Typical, I paid 650k just last month.

  • +1

Just got a call from ING for suspicious pay pass activity. Don't bother trying to use pay pass to pay for it for the 2/5% rebate. They're all up on it.

  • Will there be FlyBuys with that? I need the points to get a free tea towel

  • true!

  • How much would this be on hire purchase? Want to make a quid driving for Uber Luxury.

  • Do they refund the difference if you'd bought one last week?
