Here's the link for the second one from Bunning's website:
    http://www.bunnings.com.au/jumbuck-stainless-steel-4-burner-…

    • +2

that link just defaults to bunnings :(

      • Works for me. Tried both mobile and desktop

        • +3

Doesn't for me. Straight to Bunnings website.

  • +7

Woohoo.. scored one . 3170460 is actually 4 burners chef bbq. Price label $329 and $119 on scan.
This is the better version than just the hooded model.
Very big for myself to move. Two people is ideal. Big for little hatch. Unboxed in car park and will fit OK. Bought one 3 left. Staff has since removed the label $329.
Thank you OP. BBQ for Xmas. Also thank you for my fellow lovely OZs who ask if I am ok and offer to give me a hand in the car park. Good Luck.

    • definitely off to go hunt one of these bbqs down….

  • boo keep the 329 tag on hehe more ozbargainers can have it then :)

Now…where can I get cheap gas?

  • +2

    This one or masters one?
Masters one has stainless steel cabinet too

    • +1

Powder coated doors are much easier to keep clean than stainless. Have stainless here and are always marked.

  • +1

3170460 about 9 left at rydalmere NSW.

3 at the front of store. 6 at the back near the bbqs on the ends.

  • +1

3 more at fountain gate bunnings

  • +1

Damn I pulled the trigger on the masters one already. But knowing my local bunnings, there wouldn't be much stock.

    • I bought 3 today at Masters.

1 for me, 2 for both sisters.

  • Which one is the better model? Or should I go with the Masters' one?? Sorry, I'm a newbie when it comes to gas BBQ!

    • Either one you can get a hand on, should be happy. Just think they both RRP $329 and up. Bunnings is closer to me.

      • Yeah there are 2 Bunnings within 5Ks from me so I'm out to check them out… hopefully no early riser in my area! hahaha

  • +1

Can these be converted to run on natural gas?

    • Any bbq can, however only certain bbq's are approved to run on natural gas

    • The Masters one says it cannot. I suppose that means the parts are not included. You need jets and regulator.

  • Looks like Bunnings has fixed the price online, shown $119 now instead of full price.

  • Would you spend $27 for a BBQ cover? Also where can you buy gas cheap?

    • +3

Get 4 burner cover from Aldi clearance $7 or so and definitely worth it as it will extend the life of the BBQ.

  • Off to Bunnings to try and find one of these for a nice Christmas present for myself! My old Bunnings jumbuck ha surged me well for 5 years. Time for a new one. Would like a better quality BBQ but a this price it's hard to pass up. It will do a decent job for at least a few years.

    • +1

Got one from Bunnings Domayne Townsville. Was maybe 10 more there. The ticketed price had $319 on it. Lady scanned it up and came up as $119. She was amazed at the price and said she would go out one aside for her son.

  • Got the LAST ONE at Oxenford at 8 am !! Great find OP, thank you, +10! ! Laughing … :-0 !!

  • Got one, cheers

  • +2

Some of the jumbuck reviews are not overly favourable; these models the OP has posted may be better build quality though

  • Scored one from Lidcome.. there were still a few in stock..

  • -2

Buy it once and buy a weber, nothing comes close to it

    • +1

I have a decent Weber kettle and now I have one of these. True Webers are awesome but not always convenient.

  • +1

By the way..this offer is till 17th as informed by Bunning's guy.

    • Be surprised if they have stock still at 17:00, let alone the 17th … :-) … !!

  • +2

It's fun to see Bunnings trying to keep up with Masters. I'd expect it to be the other way around

  • Thanks OP. Old drip tray rusted through, was going to get a new one but for the price…
One more hooded BBQ 3170460 at bunnings Kotara as of 1055hrs

  • +2

Vermont south and Knox both had atleast 10 boxes that I could see. Alot of people were going for other ones as these feel way too flimsy

  • +1

Dandenong has plenty of them too. Placed close to the registers.

  • +1

    These BBQs are great

We were provided a communal one for our block of housing commission flats

It gets used everyday and not just for cooking food

I would strongly recommend getting one even if you don't live in housing commission

    • +8

and not just for cooking food

      Cooking meth?

      • or perhaps as a toilet

  • +1

Wow, I almost bought this last weekend only it wouldn't fit in my car, I'm glad it didn't now!

  • +1

    hesitated and grabbed one!
    10+ at box hill south!
Also hips sale too, solar lights, garden pots, workshop shelf etc!

    • How much for a hip? My surgeon wants $2K.

      • +1

        2k?! bargain!
post the receipt i will ask my surgeon to match it

        • PM sent. Just make sure you negotiate premium coating into the deal - it would be a pain in the buttocks to have it wear out prematurely!

  • Grabbed one (460) from Croydon VIC bunnings. Plenty left

  • +2

Got one 3170460. There were about 7 or 8 left at Wallsend NSW, all on individual trolleys ready to go, which was a nice touch.

    Thanks op!

  • Called up ferntree gully and gave them the item code 3170460. Apparently its price is $299. Any ozbargainers know how to get this for the discounted price? When I click the links I get the main page not item link. Did they take this down?

  • Got one from Midland WA had about 4 left earlier this morning, it went together fine, lit first time great buy

  • Grabbed one this morning from Balcatta, they had a few left.

    http://www.bunnings.com.au/jumbuck-stainless-steel-4-burner-…

Guy who grabbed it off a high shelf was checked at the price as hew knew nothing about it.

I grabbed a cover for about $20 as well as my old BBQ got hammered in the weather.

    • Just grabbed the last one we could see at Balcatta. Score!

It scanned at $238 but had a big "$119" sale sticker on the front, and was pre-loaded onto a trolley.

  • +1

Got the 3170460 from the Mascot store. 3 left at about 12pm… displayed price was 249 (I think) but it scanned as 119, no issues!

  • +1

anyone know if i can use charcoal in these BBQ on sale? Thanks

  • +1

I have the 4 burner stainless steel one. The stainless steel is a joke and rusted out within a year. Bunnings gave me a new one and this time I purchased a cover for it also..

  • Thanks Op! None of the 3180548 in stock at my local Bunnings but they could do as a special order for me …. $210 saved …. Or to spend on something else here!!

  • +2

3x 3180548 and 2x 3170460 on the floor in Launceston / Kings Meadows. Both are scanning at $119. Thanks OP.

  • +1

FWIW, I would personally invest in a Weber rather than buy these cheapies.

    • +2

Not worth much, neither are these BBQs. For $100, you can buy 4 or 5 for the price of a decent Weber. If you get 2 years out of one, that is 10 years, which is probably as long as a Webber would last at very best. At least this way you get a new BBQ every few years. I have a feeling they will last longer than 2 years too.

      • -2

I must be a BBQ snob. I like to cook a tender steak on a Weber so you can cut it with a butter knife. :)

I've found that the cheapies can't compete at a heat consistency level.

  • NONE ANYWHERE …

  • +1

Anyone who bought one and installed knows what the chain behind the right door of the cabinet is? Thanks.

Well - it appears that one "mystery" has been solved - the strange thing on the end of the light chain is apparently a matchstick holder, in case you want to light the gas by hand.

  • +7

Went to my local bunnings. Asked the gentleman working there and he said oh you better be quick that one over there is the last one. Lady overhears this and runs to the box and yells "this one's ours!". Jesus. Some people really take their bargains seriously. Drove up to the next one 10 minutes over and got one anyway. Thanks for the great deal OP.

    • +3

Very funny. Glad you scored one as well.

    • +1

That sucks, where did you end up getting one from?

      • Mentone, VIC. They had 4 left yesterday at about 5pm.

  • Anyone knows where to get a bargain set of outdoor tables and chairs for BBQ lunch?

  • +2

Now that so many of you have a new BBQ it's time to head over to Woolies and get some half price meat to cook on the BBQ https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/169922. Note, there are extra codes mentioned by others that get you $25 off a $50 spend.

  • can anyone recommend the best place to get a bottle? also is 9kg the best size for the jumbucks? cheers!

  • Got one yesterday. Went today to swap and go gas bottle and noticed they still had 6 x 3170460
    Instore. Bunnings dural (NSW)

  • Hey guys , can someone confirm if 548 is better version than 460 as it's made of better quality steel and paint . I can't fugure this as the local Bunnings don't have 548 on display

    • I was wondering that after I bought the 460 as I don't really need the side wok burner thing.

Didn't even ask about the 548 as it wasn't on display.

      ahh well all good.

      • 460 looks much better tbh

      • 548 has the side burner too.

        • Have you physically opened the box and made sure there is a side wok burner? I bought a 548 yesterday but will swap for 460 if this 548 has no side burner.

        • @sakata2234: I did not open the box but read the features printed on the carton. Definitely saw side burner written on it .

    • Side wok is good, can be used for stir fry and everyday cooking outside.

  • 4x 460s left at Northland in Melbourne. $56 for a new exchangable gas bottle.

    • Only 1 of the "chef 4 burners" (think its the 460) available after I just grabbed mine.

  • Couldn't resist.. Bought one !! Thanks OP…
Port Melbourne still had 3x left and one on display at 1.45pm today, also was saying the discount price ends tomorrow.

  • One more of the 3170460 left at Villawood, NSW as at 1:30PM. Thanks OP.

  • Bought one from arundel, qld.. 2 left .. Cheers

  • Been hanging for a new BBQ, picked up one at Rockdale. 2 left on shelf (around noon).

  • Got the 460. Thanks OP.

  • Went and picked one up around 12 today - was 2 left at Rydalmere.

  • Got a 460 from Innaloo (WA), went last night and they had none on the floor, but they had to get 4 crates on there storage racks out back. Reserved 1.
There was 1 left at 1300, but had a ripped box.

  • Bought the last 460 from Mascot today. Alexandria has nil left.

Rockdale still has heaps according to the staff. Good luck guys.

N.B. 460 looks so much nicer than 548

  • Saw these today. there was rust already on the corners of the display model, seemed to be made of a powder coated metal.

    • Except the hood is stainless steel, the rest is made of powder coated metal.
i am new to BBQ, so unsure what should be expected from a $300+ model.
Would be happy to pay a bit more for the model which the whole thing made of titanium and comes with crusted diamond knobs.

      • Yeah the hood looks fancy but the rest may have problems not just from the weather but from cooking splatter and what not.

I bought a 2nd hand beefeater which is stainless steel throughout and has lasted me 7 years, the burners probably need replacing but the body and everything else has stood the test of time.

I noticed these Beefeaters new in Bunnings were $1k though so there is a massive difference in price.

  • +1

Thanks OP - then Masters - Brought the 548 -Burleigh Heads that had Heaps @ 9.30 am
and we have had the first mean from it.
    for $120 couldn't go wrong

I had previous looked at the Red Center BBQ - Meh looked cheap - was going to wait for a Weber Deal,
    I'm glad this come along

  • Thanks just bought one from wa Whitfords bunnings. They said price should be going back up today, but they sold it for $119. Not sure how many left. 317 model.

  • Wanted to know as to which is a better model, 3170460 or 3180548. Which one should I go for if I had the choice to get either of them. If anyone can detail the differences also, it will be helpful.

    • 460 is about 20 kilos heavier than 548. IMO that 460 is made from better gauge metal.

      • I think the 548 has better grade stainless steel though

  • +1

the stainless fronted one is newer than the other one but they're the same otherwise as close as. not going to be the best but they're both OK for what they are. ('Upgrading' from a free gumtree bbq which is now going back on gumtree!)

You'll feel better spending $119 than the $329 they claim to sell for normally!

Monday they're still on web at $119 so if you can get one (I just did half an hour ago!) then do so, as today the website will change back to the old price!

Penrith NSW had 3 in (now 2) as of an hour ago! And they honoured the $119 price.

  • My local in Brisbane said price has gone up today and won't honour the old price.
