  • I really don't understand this DSE sale. Their front page states a discount of 25% for Canon cameras, but when I clicked through the link, there was not a single camera that had a 25% discount.

    • Bet it gets changed to up to

      • "Up to" would mean there is at least one model that is at 25% - I can't see one. It may be changed to "perhaps 25% off"

        • Are you surprised it is dse, I think this is the one that's 25% off http://www.dicksmith.com.au/photography/canon-d30-tough-dsc-…

        • @TRENT86:
Not being nitpicky, hmmm okay I actually am, but I don't think its the full 25%. Just like how they are stating there is a 10% off the tablet sale. Click through and basing on their so-called "save" value, its around 8.8%

        • @sm007h: All I know is the Camera is $329 on their ebay site so that looks 25% off, same with the tablets, the note 10.1 was $599 now $539, Samsung galaxy tab 4 was $349 now $314 :)

  • I need a cheap laptop, which of these three is a "performer"?

    • The NB10 Looks like the better Performer

      • I see the other two use newer and slightly better CPU, wondering how slow/fast these lappies could be…(especially after I upgrade to 8gb ram and 256gb ssd, to do some photo/video editing tasks)

        • +2

Have a look online there are lots more to choose from :)

    • id say the one in the title but definitely upgrade to at least 4gb of ram 2gb isnt much

      • 2GB ram sounds like a smartphone spec nowadays lol

        • Maybe last years smartphone but everyone this year has 3gb ram.

  • +1

http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/toshiba-satel… price match with office works brings Toshiba Satellite 15.6" C50-B03E W8.1 Notebook down to $262.

    • I have a this small fanless 11" display Acer Aspire E3-111-C29F (AKA E11) bought during this 20% off deal with the same CPU that was very slow/laggy with 2GB RAM and 500GB HDD but now works fine after uninstalling the anti-virus bloatware and upgrading to 4GB RAM and an SSD. It has OK battery life and now weighs only 1.1 kg and is silent [mmm].

I wonder if the battery is easily replaceable with a higher capacity battery. Other Toshiba C50 model laptops appear to have a removable battery.

    • office work Bondi, NSW 2022 gave me the price of $272.36

      • Not sure why you didn't get the DSE price minus 5%… the product is in-stock and can be picked up…

  • I wonder if this laptop (Toshiba Satellite C50-B031D 15.6" Notebook) is sufficient for video streaming like youtube, multi web page handling, and any other non gaming, non-video editing functions? And is it good for the value? Thanks

    • It says it's got NVIDIA® graphics card?
But in spec it says Intel® HD Graphics?

    • Can someone help to understand, this one is Atom Quad Core, compare to i3 Haswell, which one is faster?
      Thanks,
