I am actually quite surprised how many South Africans there are in Sydney. Quite a few kids in my daughters' school have parents coming from South Africa, Zimbabwe, etc. I guess because the ones I know are mostly anglo-saxon, and having been here for years they no longer have the accent, you just don't realise until you ask.

Edit: Cape town reminds me so much of Melbourne. I could see myself living there someday:)South Africa is no longer the country it used to be. I've been here 4 years now and have not been been back. Crime and corruption is out of control.

I'm 100 percent Aussie citizen, Philippine born. Not planning any time to go dual. This old middle aged woman will keep working until she's 80, will die and be buried here, this land has been my home for the past twenty odd years. My heart is for this country which has been so good to me and my family, and for our future generations.
