Have my work christmas party coming up. They will reimburse $100 towards a taxi fare or a hotel room. This means i can spend $150 now for free haha

  • Does it prepaid hotels means? We have to pay upfront for the rooms first before arrival?

    • Ok. Did not read the T&C properly. It has to be booked via americanexpress.com.au/travel.

      • Awesome, thanks!

Got super excited then I saw the prices of the hotel listed. Not cheap compared to other sites.

    • more than $50 difference?

  • So I connected my card, Last time and got the $10 credit, ao i cant get that again

Can I still get the $50 for $150 spend via americanexpress.com.au/travel
or is it for only newly linked accounts.

    • you can still can get the $50, it is a different offer.

  • I have already registered my ANZ Amex card with Tripadvisor. However I just tried to register at Amex travel to be able to make a booking through it and it will not accept my registration. They say to ring the number on the back of my card (Which happens to be ANZ) ANZ cannot help, and cannot even give me an AMEX contact number. The 'Contact Us' part of AMEX Travel requires you to be registered, and so I cannot even contact them through that. And so I do not know how I can take advantage of this offer.

    • You can make a booking through Amex travel without registering. I just did a booking today. I think the main thing is just that you have first registered card on trip advisor and saved the offer through the amex traveller hub on trip advisor. I will let you know when/if I receive my $50 back.

      • Did anyone manage to get the $50 back when made booking without registering on amex travel?

  • Is anyone else seeing the $10 AMEX credit for posting a review?

    • Got two via two TA accounts and different Amex cards. So did my partner.

  • I used this deal to book some activities for Uluru (Ayers Rock) in January. My partner and used 3 Amex cards between us so should get $150 back.

The prices are comparable to elsewhere for this location - shame they don't offer car hire there (not available at this location).

  • Does anyone else have issue at the register page? After entering my details and press connect, nothing happens

  • AMEX Travel! What a SHOCKER! They have not done themselves any favours with this offer. I travel a lot and am used to researching hotel prices. AMEX Travel's prices are disgraceful! However I did find a hotel that was $152 for 2 nights (Other sites $130) and with the $50 rebate, it works out ok but I would never go to their site for future travel. And after spending 10 minutes filling the online booking out, I received back a reject message "WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE CONTACTING OUR SUPPLIER etc etc". And so no booking made anyway!

  • Anyone got the $50 back?
