Looks like the whole Coles Finest range is $3 a box:

Their Brazillian capsule ranks higher than most original Nespresso capsule IMO.

    • and they are roasted and produced in Australia.

These are an EXTREMELY tight fit when clamping down in the Latissima models, as are the new Grinders capsules. Pretty confident these have caused permanent damage to my machine, won't buy again — just a warning.

Compared to the Nespresso pods, it also takes twice as long to run the water through the pods, so be prepared to wait longer for your coffee which will be noticable colder by the time it's finished.

That said, I have a few boxes of these in the cupboard for when I forgot to plan ahead and run out of the proper ones.

The Brazilian is the best of the ones available.

      • Agree that the Brazilian is the better one for me…. The Sumatran is second, followed by the Ethiopian. Tried the Grinders crema the other day, and it was very good. More expensive though, and still a tight fit. Bang for buck, hard to go past the Brazilian pods.

    • They are perfectly fine for our two machines, one is the small delonghi, the other is an older magimix brand.
I guess a little bit harder than the aluminium ones but still perfectly fine.

$60/kg is still more than I can afford for my coffee habit. Will have to make do with fresh-ground coffee :-(

These are the best price/performance of the pods.

just drink water…better for your health

  • Tried one packet when they came out and wasn't too impressed with the coffee. Didn't like the plastic shell either ……under high temperature.

The temp isn't even boiling water temp. And of course food safe, I don't trust aluminium either…

  • I bought a few boxes yesterday when I saw it, told my sister but she had already bought 6 Cartons (yes cartons of boxes) a few days before the sale.. poor bugger. She gets Coles to order in 6 cartons for herself.

  • These are usually $4 at the Qld Coles, are they $4.40 where you get yours?

    • They are $4.40 online (QLD) maybe that's where he's getting that from?

      • yeah, on line prce

        • online is 10% more expensive normally, whats the point of buying groceries online then.

        • @PVA:
They collect the items and deliver.

        • @mskeggs:
isn't that what the delivery charge is for?

they also don't need to employ as many people so save costs that way, should be more expensive per item.

        • @PVA:

I don't use the online shop, but I regularly see Wooolies staff collecting online orders at my local shop, so I think it means they need to employ more staff. Maybe they will drop the online prices when they have rolled out more "dark stores".

When I got groceries delivered years ago, it was when my wife had just had a baby and it was unreasonably hectic at home to leave to do the shopping. I didn't mind the extra charge then. I suppose there are people who are that busy all the time for whom it makes sense.
