Coupon entitles you to a 20% discount for a single eligible booking, up to a maximum discount of $175. To be eligible, (a) the booking must cost at least $100 (excluding Airbnb service fees and cleaning fees),
(b) the booking must be completed (including host acceptance) using the promo code "20offdeal" before 11.59pm AEST
on December 1, 2014, and (c) the stay must start not later than December 20, 2014. Valid only for registered Airbnb users in Australia who have never completed a booking on Airbnb. Limited to one discount per registered user. Not transferable to another user or redeemable for cash. May not be combined with another Airbnb coupon or discount code. Any subsequent refund will be limited to the amount actually paid. Coupon codes may not be supported on older versions of Airbnb's mobile apps. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of the discount or cancellation of your account or reservations, if fraud, tampering, violations of Airbnb's Terms of Service or technical errors are suspected.

    Can't use both. Either $29 or 20% off your first booking. The latter is probably better in most cases.

  Too bad about this condition: "the stay must start not later than December 20, 2014" could have used it in for my Japan trip from Jetstar!

  start no later than 20th of DEC? useless then. There are heaps of discount for the hotels running all over the world. The Hilton just finished then half price special. Before 20th of Dec stay term make this special useless.

  AirBNB service fees hit you hard.

  eg.

  $127AUD x 3 nights $379
  Service fee $46
  Total $426

  -20% off $379 =$75.80

  $426-$75.80 = $350.2

  Comes to $116 a night x 3 nights as opposed to the allegedly advertised $127 a night

  AirBNB service fees hit you hard.

  I understand that the fee for the guest is between 12% and 15% - I don't know how it is scaled, but I guess it starts at 15% for a short stay and/or low priced place. Then goes down from there.

  The host then pays a 3% fee on the total booking - not including the cleaning fee and the security deposit.

    1) You should have already been a member
    2) Precious member with no previous bookings.

      It says registered users, I created an account therefore I am a registered user.

      There is no mention of when I became a registered user.
