    Would this be the best buy for a RC sailing beginner? I don't wish to sail competitive or spend hours with mods. Just want to take it to the pond/pool with the kids

      When a cat tips over they tend to stay over, so in a sudden blow, you need to let the sails out quickly. If you are an experience modeller in something like cars or planes you may well be quick enough. Probably this is a better second boat. Its not an issue if you sail on small ponds or can get out to the boat easily. Our local sailing group has recovery boats and all, so it's no biggie for us. The dragon force https://www.hobbywarehouse.com.au/joysway-8805fs-v2-dragon-f… is a great beginner boat with a nice radio. If you already have a radio there is a cheaper option without radio.
