250

We have on offer again these amazing Andrew Jones designed bookshelf speakers. Limited stock, be Quick!!!

Before anyone asks why they are a little more than last time it because the aussie dollar has dropped by almost 25c. Pioneer raised the RRP about a month ago.

These speakers come with a remarkable pedigree of over 70 years of Pioneer audio heritage and industry firsts. Like every speaker we build, these are engineered to offer incredible design and amazing sound quality. But then that's exactly what you'd expect from speakers designed by internationally renowned speaker engineer, Andrew Jones. As Pioneer's Chief Speaker Engineer, Andrew has designed some of the world's finest loudspeakers, some costing as much as $80,000. Now he has brought his high-end expertise and passion to the creation of this affordable bookshelf speaker. And while the price is considerably lower than some of his other efforts, the expectation and delivery of accurate sound reproduction are the same.

        Thats a bit racialist

  • Any chance of $3k on a pair of gloss back Wharfedale Jade 7's? :)

    • +6

Sorry but 3k isn't possible but give me a call at the store and i'll do a better price than listed.

  • +1

the floor standers of these were blind reviewed against speakers costing in excess of $3k and were ranked miles better. Stereophile had them as their product of the year a couple of years back.

  • Excellent, ordered two pairs. Will just have to order the matching centre speaker elsewhere. Any deals, anybody? :)

      • +2

Really? Save $1 wait an extra month to get them and no local support…..for $1 ;)

        • +3

That's for the center channel. Last time I looked you didn't have a center channel for sale.
I purchased 4 in the last sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144935 Fantastic speakers.
I also wanted the dedicated center channel. This was the cheapest I found shipping only took 2 weeks.

        • +3

As crfnx said, that Amazon price is for the centre speaker, which for some reason you do not appear to stock.

As I said, in the post crfnx was responding to, I already bought two pairs of the bookshelf speakers from you today.

  • Pity you aren't doing them for $119 again like last time or I'd pick up another pair… Awesome speakers :)

  • Anyone recommend an amp? For ps4? with aux & bluetooth

  • are you guys going to sell the subwoofer? amazon sells them but only 110v….

    • Sorry, no Andrew Jones sub on the way.

    Engineered by Andrew Jones

Is this the Andrew Jones I went to preschool with? If so, he borrowed a Hot Wheels car from me and never gave it back. Tempted to neg on that basis.

    • Could be. I'll ask him next time we have tea together ;)

  • The copy on the page is a little busted.

In a few places you refer to them as "SPB22", in other places as "SP-BS22". I assume it's the latter.

  • Can these be wall mounted?

    • Yes, they have a keyhole wall mount.

  • +1

Damn wish I saw the previous deal for $119, but still this is a pretty good price. Bought one thanks.

After buying the Volls I'm hard pressed to justify buying another set of bookshelf speakers…%7(

    • +1

You can never have too many speakers.

    • +2

I have the Volls and the Pioneers! Lov'n it.

      • I could be you

  • At $120 I would definitely purchase.

How do these compare to the A2?

  • Would this be a suitable AV receiver to power these speakers? http://www.rio.com.au/product/pioneer-vsx-529k-theatre-recei…

    • Yes, they would work very well together.

  • Hey guys, I'm pretty new to audio but have been looking to upgrade for a while

Can anyone tell me if I can connect these directly to my computer setup? Or would I need an additional amp to be able to do so? Thanks

    • You will require an amp; check https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144935 for recommendations. That said, they are a bit too large for computer speakers unless you have a large desk or could wall mount them. They make great speakers in a surround setup.

      • Thanks for the help :)

  • Whoa… Andrew Jones!!1!

    Wait-Wut

  • These are amazing speakers. I bought these speakers (in 5.1) after numerous reviews from around the web saying they sound excellent (even surpassing some $3000+ speaker packages)

    • Don't know what '$3000+' package that refers to, but these speakers must be pretty amazing to make claims like that.

  • I just bought a pair for pickup. It didnt ask which store (defaulted to preston)
Can I pickup from Hampton instead?

    • No problem. Give one of the stores a call to arrange it.

  • +1

OMG after over a month of comparing speakers and shopping around for the best deal, I just ordered the Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers at HN yesterday. One bloody day. And since I ordered the full 5.1 set and this offer is sold by individual speaker pairs, my credit card price protection won't work. Grrr…

For anybody that has these speakers, have you ever compared to the Dali Concepts or the Accusound 8.6XD? I am wondering if I made the right choice. My Pioneers won't arrive for 2 weeks, and I ordered without hearing them since nobody where I am had any stock. Hope they live up to the reviews.

  • how do these compare to the voll speakers ?

    • http://www.noaudiophile.com has reviewed both the MB42X and the pioneers. Both great speakers in my opinion with some pros and cons to each.

Disclaimer: I'm a Voll rep, if this response is inappropriate mods feel free to remove.

  • Thanks rep,

I bought a pair to start my venture into home theater systems. Now I need to wait for a decent av receiver to be on sale to power them :)
