  Oh Man,I paid 1000$ 6 years back for a 32 inch Hitachi TV without any DVD player………….
  I dont think i can dispose of it now even for 100$.

    6 + years ago , Hitachi TVs were Hitachi TVs. These days Hitachi TVs are a re-badge of Tempo or something or rather else. No way I'd downgrade to one of these new ones.

      Today Hitachi are a no name / generic brand, similar to DSE and other bottom of the ladder stuff.
      Philips are no name / generic also.
      Your 6 y/o Hitachi is the real thing Techno :-)
