Oh gawd, I can hear the local bogans riding these on the footpath already.

    • Not bogans but Houseos!! (its like Target and Targiej) :)

    • ah yes. but unlike bogans, i will be riding considerately and with appropriate safety gear

Do we need a license if we drive on the road?

    • +1

      From the description:

just remember always ride the bike off road as it’s illegal to ride this bike on public roads

      • +3

Therefore you do not need a licence to ride this on the road. Having a rider's licence will not help when the police catch up with you.

        • No this doesnt mean you can ride on the footpath… :P

        • +2

You better leave the bike and run when the cops approach.

I would personally steer clear of these type of bikes. I have owned two in the past and tend to spend more time fixing them, trying to get spare parts, doing up bolts that rattle loose than actually riding them. Rubbish. Be sure to read the warrenty exclusions before you buy.

    • is there a decent mini/pocket bike you recommend or should i forget all that and just buy a proper grown-up bike?

      • +1

If you are specifically looking for a smaller bike, you can't go past a Yamaha Pee Wee 50. It will be faster, and last much longer than this, much better construction. A quick gumtree search shows you can pick up a 20 year old Yamaha up for around $300, which will be good for another 20 years. Not 20 minutes as with this bike.

        • thanks for the tip. much appreciated :)
