  the problem with jaycar has always been there 4 billion percent markup. even if you can get the trade pricing its still horridly over priced

  just one example

  same thing on ebay AU $119.00

  other stores have it for around this as there normal price for the exact same item

    Would have to agree. Even the first item on the list, 6-in-1 Jump Starter Power Station Now $149. Supercheap have a 900A jump start kit for $115 as their normal price and a 1100A kit on sale for $109 (with air compressor).

    you don't know the half of it!
    years ago, when i was not as wise and needed the money badly i worked for Jaycar, staff discount was cost price, i bought lots of junk including a halogen video light with ni-cd battery pack and charger, retail $80, cost price? are you sitting down for this? $7! of course lots of things have changed since then

      Yeah, the cost price is now $3 and the retail is $99.

    but thats caus of aus post not caus of the ebay sellers. i have had a string of things delivered to the wrong address lately and i only know about it caus the people its been delivered to have had the decency to drop it back off to me.

  ahh Jaycar, i have spent lots of $ over the years with you, but then came the internet and ebay, and now, except for urgent small items, i buy much cheaper online and i'm slowly but surely raking in the money i spent in massive savings…
