Is 20W-50 easiest to make? It's always the cheapest. I need 10W-30 which rarely on special and almost never cheap.
i dont think there's a car made in last 10 yrs that uses it (maybe some crapboxes made in China or Russia or Malaysia)
didnt you get the Shell Helix 7 10w30 for $20 last week inc. free oil filter?

If you have an efi engine or newer (vvti/VTEC) then repeated use of this 20w-50 may be detrimental to your catalytic converter. This has high zinc content which is used as a detergent for older carburetor engines.
That said I have used it during the 2012-13 summer on my Efi Camry once and I haven't had any issues. It was a similar cheap deal then and I wanted to run a thick oil. I now tend to stick to gtx 15w-40 in the summer though.
