Wonder why Gold is expensive? If you want Aussie stock gold/purple and will be travelling os in the next 60 days, this is a cheaper from a b&m store http://www.dirtcheapcameras.com.au/lg-g3-16gb-gold-smartphon…

    • "and will be travelling os in the next 60 days" Sure, but for the other 99% of us, this would be better!

Great phone, I regret buying the f400k so early on. The d855 is the one you want, you can choose between a number of android 5 roms at xda-dev.

Bought one from DWI last week. Was about the same price, ordered Tuesday, had it in my hand the following Tuesday. It is currently $515 including shipping.

Upgrading from a Note II, my thoughts for those interested
    * Screen is amazing (to my eyes), although not as good for outdoor viewing as the NII.
    * Seems to be noticeably snappier than the NII for most things. I imagine once 5.0 is released it will be better again (can't be bothered with custom 5.0 just yet).
    * Friendlier overall size than the Note but with the same size screen.
    * Battery is better than what I expected. Currently at 54% at the end of a very busy day (4hr 20m voice calls, 1hr 42m screen on, 1 push email acct, 1 imap acct, 2 gmail acct)

Would I buy it again? Yeah, but I had the Note II for almost 2 years and wanted something new and shiny. The G3 wouldn't be enough of a jump for me to recommend to non-techy people who already have a similar spec phone from the NII generation.

Its a lot faster than note2

      • I don't doubt it is technically a lot faster, however with omni-rom on the Note 2 and the stock 4.4 rom on the G3, the "feel" of both is actually pretty close. YMMV however. The screen and smaller size of the G3 is totally worth it though.

    • Actually there is also a $10 coupon (FINDERSQ42014) for spending over 400. This makes it cheaper than this and from a more reputable retailer.

I think they are run by same mob as Megabuy

  • My only experience with megabuy and topbuy was good/nothing to complain.

  • I love the knock feature on this phone. screen and camera brilliant. I'm surprise how good it is stock.

  • So did anyone order from these guys at this deal? How long it took to get the item? Any issues in dealing with them?
