  • How'd you find out about this? Did they email you or did you see it when you log in?

  • +1

just got the email too :D

  • +3

Thanks OP, I received no email but I logged into my account and it reads: Credit for: Campaign/Marketing, Expires, 14/12/2014. Credit $5. Looks like it expires in a couple of days, OP you may want to highlight that in the actual body of your deal as well in case people miss the expiry end date of the deal further below.

  • +2

I logged in but I don't have any credit. Perhaps not for all members?

    • +1

i didn't get it at the same time as the email. but it was there 10 minutes later

    • I take it back, received the email afterall, and the credit came through eventually too… YAY!

    • No credit for me either! I haven't made too many purchases, hopefully its on its way.

    • i just checked now i have a $5 credit. i didn't have it earlier on in the day. i haven't received an email yet. the only time i bought something was using the $5 credit from a previous promo (and i didn't pay any $ out of pocket).

  • -3

Dupe but only after added later to that post!

    • +5

Technically it shouldn't be a dupe because the other listing was edited 2 minutes after this one was posted!

      • +2

Agree - was updating my comment to reflect that when you replied ;-) That's why I added that other post was updated after this deal.

        • +6

Sucks that it's now stuck there in history, hey? ;)

      • Yep correct that's why I've reverted to what it was before. Only noticed this post after I made the edit.

        • +4

          wow…. a moderator!…

I thought they was a myth.. but .. they exist!

    • +2

Technically the OP here posted first, the other Supercheap deal was modified a couple minutes after this deal was posted to say about the $5 offer.

      • Beat you by seconds!!! ;) But other listing has been changed back now!

        • Dont worry… I've had my fair share of missed bargins by seconds!

  • woohoo a couple of free rolls of duct tape!

    • More like a roll.. sCA duct tapes are pricey, $4 each..

  • Yeah no credit on my account either.

  • Yep got credit. Expiries 14/12/2014, that's this Sunday.

  • no deal.. i think this is targetted?!

Edit: Got the email too now
Still lost how this is a deal, you need to receive the email to get $5

  • My paid account got the $5, the free one from that promo a month or two ago haven't got it.

    • My free account from the promo got it.

  • -1

Nothing in my two accounts that i got for free

    • +1

      You only have two ?

      • Haha I have six..

  • bugger all here,,no 5bux for me

    • +1

spoke too soon,,,now have 5bux,,woot woot

  • +1

    targetted :(

    • this tells me you dont have a supercheap auto membership?

      • that would be jumping to a conclusion.

I have one and have made click and collect purchases as recent as 2 weeks ago

  • thnx but no cigar for me. I haven't spent anything there for ages so maybe that's why i'm excluded.

  • +1

    Didnt get :(

  • +1

    I got 5 bucks credit

Guess Im getting 5 bucks off brake pads for my gf's car.

    • That really show how much you love her lol, might as well go for the cheapest brake pads while you are at it.

      • +1

Ha , considering I take care of her car significantly more than mine. Ill be replacing the pads with what I put on there before , Bendix ultras with 5 bucks off , brings them to $68 so not really cheaping out

        • Make sure you go quick because the bendix pads are on sale, at $58 or something, so you can get for $53

Me, i went for Calibre, also made by Bendix, last time i got 2 sets (for 4 wheels) for $35 (buy 1 get 1 free +$10 SCA credit). Best purchase i have made so far for our cars. $17.5 per car. I really dont get into all their advertising bollocks, quieter, less dust, smooth operations blah blah

  • No deal.. This is targeted.

  • -5

got $5 in 2 accounts i've had since the beginning and also in 1 of the accounts i signed up for in september

edit: so suck on that, haters :p

    • Pfft, it's cause you're a girl that's why the special treatment

      • you sure?
i signed up with my initials and didn't specify "title"

        • Lol I'm sure they can tell by the name silly billy, and I was jk anyway

        • +1

@montorola: i knew you were joking but there are some out there that don't ;)

  • +2

    targeted

  • +2

I'm guessing that they're just taking time to roll it out to members. I checked earlier and didn't have any but in the last 10 minutes or so received the email and also the credit.

    • Yep. Received all $5 credits throughout the 3 accounts in my household.

  • +1

If u sign up now do you get it?

    • +1

Not everyone will get it (yet).

The credits just magically show up under the 'My Loyalty Credit' tab after logging in.

    • True bargainers got the DSE deal recently, think I snatched 88 batteries for $10 (alkaline).

    • +6

      Eneloops or GTFO lol

  • Damn I hope I get it… NEED NEED NEED A Ryco Z201 by Tuesday.

    GOT IT! :)

  • +1

Cool I can now save up all this credit to buy something nice, $10 from the previous deal and now $5!

  • -4

Targeted and it costs $5 to be a member.

    • well of course it's targeted….at members

and you missed the bit where you get $10 credit back, so essentially they paying you $5 to sign up.

besides, they've offered free membership in the past and just a couple of months ago. snooze and lose

      • -5

Thanks for the obvious, that's not what 'targeted' around here means.

        Digressing, I haven't received anything.

        • plenty of people here have received their credits. then you have the other lot who panic that they haven't got it yet. just relax and give it some time.

    • +1

any true oz bargainer would of made an account for free and got the free money months ago.

      • -1

Why would you assume I'm not already a member. Wouldn't have known it costs $5 otherwise.

        • +1

if you were a member you'd also know that they give you $10 back so your "costs $5" whinge is pointless

        • @tdw:

Receiving the $10 previously is irrelevant because we're on about this deal not what you got in another deal.

        • @plmko: i'm not harping on about "another deal"; you claim it costs $5 to join as a member but every new club plus sign-up gets $10 credit for the $5 joining fee.

          read: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/clubplus

Joining Supercheap Auto Club Plus is quick and easy, and costs just $5. Plus, join today, and you'll get $10 start-up credit loaded onto your card – on us!

        • @tdw:

if you were a member you'd also know that they give you $10 back

Are you even reading what you're typing?

Again thanks for the obvious. But you cannot excuse a current deal because a previous deal was good. That would be like saying getting a great bargain with Dick Smith one day excuses Dick jacking up the Ebay 20% deal.

Digressing, I haven't neg'd this deal despite what I think, so why apologetic?

        • +1

          @plmko: > it costs $5 to be a member.

          your words.
and i'm telling you that, regardless of previous deals, it still remains you get $10 for signing up as a club plus member. do the math and it doesn't end up costing you to sign up. at all.

        • @plmko:

Lol dude, take a chill pill, all your posts come off as angry!!

        • +1

          @montorola:

Everyone sounds angry on the internet.

  • Thanks.

  • +1

    Targeted, didn't get it.

  • +4

Received an email with the credit just now on an account I made for free during the previous offer. Don't think it is targeted, just taking its time to reach everyone :)

  • +2

Judging by what happened last time (30th Sept member shopping night) the email (and subsequently the credit) could take a while to show up. Last time I didn't get my email until a few hours after people started reporting they got it. I don't think this offer is targeted, I think SCA are just a bit poorly managed with their free credit offers.

  • -3

It's 30% off at Repco this weekend for VIP club members. Easily going to save more than $5 by buying your stuff from there instead.

    • +1

      Will there be free butane?

    • +2

You never buy stuff you need, you just select items that may be of use and up to the value of your credit.
Say this time I grabbed a Haigh Animal Repeller & SCA Clamp - Mini, Spring for total cost of $4.99.You just choose your store top pick up from. It could sit there in store for weeks they send an email to remind you that……….Scratch that. Supercheap credit is not about saving its about free and free is a bargain.

      You

    • +1

doubt it. need to get some fuse pullers which are exactly $4.99 at sca

    • Keep in mind Repco is usually more expensive than SCA. But you get the quality you pay for.

  • +5

Any ideas on what to buy?

    Thinking the Spirit Level http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Best-…
Or 2 rolls of 75 METRES! packing tape http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Cling…
    (1 roll $4.99, 2 rolls $4.98 wtf)… 150m of packing tape is pretty tempting.

    • +1

      thanks , bought 2 rolls.

      • same here

        haven't pick up yet…:)

  • +1

I bought a trolley jack that was down from $60 to $25 so only cost me $20.
Will go with my garage creeper and jack stands I got on a previous deal.

  • +1

I told myself I'd become a member after seeing the last round of credit - absolutely kicking myself for not doing so earlier.

    Procrastination is a b*tch.

  • I bought this Plier set that appears to be currently on sale for 23.99: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Toolp… applied credit which brought the price down to $18.99, but after I paid I receive an invoice for $23.99 (that also states that credit was applied).
Maybe credit does not work on discounted items, but why was it accepted to begin with and why not reinstate the credit for use on another item if it did not go through (my available credits are now 0 after this purchase).

Edit: just checked my credit card account and see that it went through at the right price, 18.99, so everything's OK. The total on the order copy received does not account for credit applied.

  • Haven't got any email, I feel left out :(

    • me too, still nothing :(

    • +1

do you normally get their emails?
if you've opted out of their newsletters and such, you don't normally get free credit

  • +1

Woke up, made a coffee, refreshed the SCA "my credit" tab…Lo and behold I have $5 credit now :)
Bought 5 x $1 hose fittings for local pickup from the clearance section of the site. Merry X'mas everyone!

  • Guys… either check your account on the actual SCA website or 'search' your email. Couldn't find mine until I ran a search. I ended up getting a $5 discount on a Z201 Ryco fuel filter. (I do realise it's made in China now but just hope they picked the right factory).

  • +3

If you haven’t clicked the box to receive Notifications of Product Special Notifications when you signed up you will not have received the $5. You can ring the 1300 175 010 number and have them credit to your account as I did & remember the expiry date is Sunday 14th.

  • cool bbq cleaaner and globes for 10bux -5bux =5bux

  • I've never received any of these free credits ever even the last few times when it was free $10. I is sad

  • +1

Got myself some more 2 for $1 buckets, my local store allowed me to get 10.

  • Must be targeted, I keep checking my account but no $5 :-(

    • +1

I keep forgetting what username to use on supercheap now! so many

    • maybe give the call centre a call!?

      1300 175 010

they are really good… so if you miss out they will give you the credit manually

  • +1

I assume this expires at the end of 14 dec

  • +1

Got no credit. Probably because I chose not to receive any email notification from them.

  • +3

Ok, now I know why some people don't get the email with the $5 credits. I did not get it either while my family members all got the credits. Go to the club area, click notification, then tick yes, please send me emails…..

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE CONTACTED?
To receive the latest news, information, and great offers from Supercheap Auto AU then simply let us know how you would like us to contact you.
