Good brand. Got this Email too but didn't realise they'd be from $6. Thanks!

Unfortunately the $6 range is limited to XXL or XXXL it seems.

A bit of customer feedback for Tuffys & Tuffetts,

Your underwear is three or four times the price of Bonds, I will pay a bit more for Australian but not that much. Also what is it with all the extremely bright colour combos? How about a few more boring old darker blue, green or grey style hipsters with black signature elastic at top?

Who are you trying to to impress with all the gaudy colours? To be a success you have to go mainstream, they will not be caught dead in your undies.

I will give it to you that you have your own style but I hate it.

      Having a bad day champ?

Um, why don't you just shop at any other men's underwear store? Like, there are literally no other shops that make colorful men's underwear. Why would you ask them to stop and deny other men colorful undies?

        I am giving some feedback.

No harm done, sometimes businesses cannot see the wood for the trees.

The undies are VERY colourful, with not many other options.

They are premium priced when they make a big fuss about being ex-Bonds employees. Bonds were known to be mainstream priced even at their peak. I used to buy them at KMart. They don't seem to be going after this market at all, probably because they cannot get to the price point.

Remember, this is OzBargain not a showplace for premium expensive goods.

Actually I tend to agree with the feedback given … it is constructive criticism. My son (20 yo) complained about the gaudy fluoro wording on some new Bonds undies the other day too. Well, they are simply not that versatile. Not all young people like to flaunt their undies in public (like many obviously do) but would prefer to be seen in something not as bright if and when caught out. For example; many young males like to wear suitable undies under their swimwear (boardies etc … not budgie smugglers) and dislike the obvious wording on the undies waistbands (not a cool look), so I have been looking for years at the "plainer as" just for that purpose. Yes … Mum has still been buying the undies .. but I know what he likes … so far. I am not having a bad day either … so give the man his due regards.

        • But where were the trees? All you did was bitch and moan about the colours, and as others have said this is one of very few brands that offer such choice. There was no mention of quality, fit, or comfort. Besides, its not like there aren't pictures on the website. Are you blind?

        • Remember, this is OzBargain not a showplace for premium expensive goods.

OzBargain is not a show place for inferior cheap rubbish either.

          Good find by the OP.

Cheap underwear is just a race to the bottom.

          Disagree on two points.

          1. Bonds are $30 at DJs. These are 'premium bonds', made in Columbia (not China).
          2. OzB is for 'bargains' in 'Oz'. A bargain is a good deal, no reflection on premium or not. Personally, I wish it would move towards great prices on high quality stuff rather than all the 0.01 cent cables and junk that breaks within a month.
    • If you want boring colours just go buy other brands, no one is forcing you to buy from them.

I just want to add in my 2c as I bought 9 pairs on a previous sale.

The price is IMO, justified. The quality so so good on these things, it's a joke comparing them to Bonds, Davenports, Calvins or any other major brand. Every other brand I've worn has the elastic go early (and I'm a medium, not some huge fat lumbering beast buying a size too small), the stitching is excellent and solid, and the feel of them is great.
They're the one set of trunks that don't wind up giving me a french knicker effect during the day.

The colour complaint I somewhat agree with, but I'm happy to wear fluro green trunks if they're made this well.

  • Good one

  • What is it with men's underwear these days and not having a hole in the front? Must be designed by women!

    • People may not like the comment about women (although i understand why would comment that), but yes I do wonder about the side hole. What designers are thinking ?
