    • Terms & Conditions
This "Tiger Raw" fare is the lowest available fare from Tiger Airways Australia and is fully inclusive of all taxes and charges. The "Tiger Raw" fare does not incur payment of the $6 convenience fee associated with credit card purchases per passenger, per flight sector. Payment by Visa or Mastercard credit card or international debit card is permissable subject to payment of this fee. The following conditions apply:

      • Must be purchased using a MasterCard debit card issued by an Australian financial institution.
      • Available for bookings made at www.tigerairways.com only, during the stated buy period for one way travel. Travel dates may vary by destination.
      • Includes an A$15 discount per passenger per flight sector, which is otherwise payable if bookings are made via our call centre or at airport locations.
      • Includes free carry-on luggage allowance of up to 7kg. Passengers may select to purchase a checked in luggage allowance, or select a specific seat for an additional fee.
      • Additional fees are payable in respect of permissable changes to confirmed reservations.
      • Subject to availability (not available on all flights or days). Seats are limited and may not be available during peak periods or on all flights, public holidays or certain blackout periods or once sold out.
      • Not available in conjunction with any other promotions or for group bookings.
      • All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
      • Additional conditions apply for stated international Flight Combo flights.
      • Tiger Airways reserves the right to change, modify and cancel this promotion without prior notice. Refer to www.tigerairways.com for more details.
    • Be sure to note also that Tiger has the right to change the scheduled flight time by up to 4 hours (either side) without giving you any option to change flights, get credit for your initial booking or cancel and get a refund. That has stuffed my partner and me more than once and we've had to either wear it (9.55pm flight —> 12.45am flight) or forfeit the money and book another flight with another airline (the new flight time would have caused us to miss a connecting flight overseas). Lots of problems.

  • i actually purcahsed tickets today using tiger airways…

Cheaper than any other airline including Jetstar.

Though one thing i find utterly irritating is the amount of extras on top of the 28 dollars e.g.

    1. Booking fee
    2. Seat selection fee (WTF)
    3. Credit card fee ( as if ill go to the airport to purchase the tickets)
    4. Luggage fee (15 bucks for 15 kgs i think)

Ended up being 90 dollars or so return

    • You needn't have paid the seat selection fee… in future, just skip the option - there is an option to say that you do not want to select a seat, and that saves you about $25 each way, I think.

  • Also use Mastercard Debit to avoid the convenience fee? Wonder if VISA debit will work?

  • Last time we went with Tiger we booked using an Aussie Mastercard Debit. The transaction was processed in Singapore dollars and we ended up paying a foreign transaction fee higher than the credit card fee.
