  • Why am I more tempted to buy a "Norton and Chromecast" pack for $50, even though I won't use the Norton?

When I wouldn't go out and buy the Chromecast for $50 on its own!

    • In NZ $50 is cheap… Lucky Aussies!

    • chromcast is only $80 for 2 on ebay dicksmith today~

      • should be $88

        • Total AU $79.20 by using the CPICKUP code and pick up in store.

  • These were going for $0 after cash back a year ago.

I used to get paid to install them!

That's right. Technically the $52.73 is to pay for Chromecast which is cheaper elsewhere. Norton is trying to scam us. Moreover this is an old software. The new 2015 versions are called Norton Security & Norton Security with Backup (aka 2014 Norton 360 with or without backup).

      • Who neg me? I'm just stating the fact! 1) $52.73 is for the Chromecast 2) Old version of software! Far out!

  • Does antivirus even have any value these days or is it one of those things sales assistances throw in to "sweeten" the deal when dealing with uneducated shoppers?

Windows 8 has built in antivirus and from my personal experience I have never had any trouble.

    Just my personal opinion :-)

  • Just have a chat with Norton. They are not aware of $40 rebate only $20. So who is right?

    • The terms and conditions of the $40 rebate offer is linked to in the description. It's on the Norton website. I would guess that the customer rep you spoke to is the one who's wrong.
