owned by Rupert, wouldn't touch anything he published with a ten foot pole.
must be loosing his grip on the younger generation, so this makes sense… entice a new generation of followers.
and also loosing share to online sources… this paper is what i call "controlled mainstream media" to the max.

just wish i could neg based on that.

    bias crap.

    • What isn't biased?

Not sure why this is a deal though. Every student who ever bother turning up to school/uni knows that you can get annual subscriptions to the papers for cheap.

I used to get the age though. Got the green guide.

So um, I guess you're not gonna congratulate The Guardian on their coverage of the Lindt store siege then?

"must be loosing his grip on the younger generation, so this makes sense… entice a new generation of followers"

Such a well-read person should know that the word is LOSING, not LOOSING.

Also this deal existed as far back as 18 years ago when I was at Uni, so it's hardly representative of a sudden marketing response due to a "loosing" of grip on today's younger generation.

  • Anything similar for other states?

  • Does The Daily Telegraph offer the same deal for Uni Staff?

  • Any account with News Corp brands (such as Herald Sun) will work on the others. So this should be good to access The Telegraph (Sydney), Courier Mail (Brisbane) as well as the Australian's iPad/digital apps.

    • Interesting. But can a student of a University in Brisbane or Sydney sign up for this offer?

I avoid anything Rupert Murdoch, pass.

  • Anything like this for The Age?

    • +1

The Age's deal is crap in comparison.

$1 first month then $9 per month for web access
$1 first month then $15 per month for web + tablet access

So basically 40% off regular price for digital subscriptions only.

    • Also looking for something like the this but for the Financial Review.

      • Fin Review is available for $8.25 monthly for web + tablet which is actually a good deal considering their regular price

        • and considering the contents within the Fin Review are far more useful.

Good deal if your into redneck propaganda tailored for paranoid anglo geriatric bogans.
