Rebel Sports Online Store Warning

Hi,

I purchased an AFL jersey from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/171679

That was about 3 weeks ago…order is still processing when I check the Rebel website.

I have tried several times to call them on the phone and every time I am on hold for 20 mins then am transferred to a voice mail box. To make matters worse the hold music is a voice telling me how good their customers service is, yet I suspect their phone isnt ever answered.

I emailed 2 days ago and no reply as yet from that.

It was supposed to be an Xmass present…but I realise now there is zero chance its coming before Xmass.

Extremely disappointed in Rebel Sports….

    Do they have a facebook page? Some ??? businesses to take note of comments or messages left on there.
    Alternatively, try calling them as soon as they open their phone line.
    If you paid by CC then at least you will get your $ back .

    File a dispute, if you don't get your products with in 4 weeks. otherwise in some cases it might be too late to file dispute. If paid by paypal, create a case.

    • Claim time has extended out to 180 days. Nonetheless, filing a dispute might make them get off their butts long enough to respond to your previously unanswered questions.

    These guys and amart all sports (same company) are notorious for this kind of thing. Terrible CS ,terrible delivery times and zero communication when there is a delay to your prder. Live and learn - and dont purchase off them unless they are really , really cheap for something you really really want.

      And for something you really really don't need right away. Two things I bought from Rebel/Amart this year - one took a month a deliver, and another took a month to notify me that the order has been cancelled.

    Same issue i had a few months back. Apparently a "computer glitch" lost my order. No responses to emails for weeks. Can't call through as they probably have two staff. Leave voicemail and no return calls.

    Took well over a month for me to get my item. Oh and then they finally responded to the emails and voicemails.

    As above do not buy from them if you need it for the next month. Very poor experience from a big retailer.

  • I had the same issue. The item is probably out of stock but they can't be bother cancelling your order. They wouldn't respond to my email until I told them I'm going to lodge a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading. I think I got a response within a few hours.

  • From my horror experience, it's not instock and it's on order through their supplier, they will probably blow you off at first and look into your order, if you paid by paypal make a claim and you will get your money back after 7 days, they probably won't even notice either

    2 days no response to voice mail.

    They charged my credit card on 26/11.

    I want the item so not willing to lodge a paypal claim at this stage.

  • Called head office and was put through to their unmanned internet sales number.

    Called head office again and was put through to the voicemail of a specific person "Sean" who is apparently head of online sales.

    The reception at head office not concerned at all about helping with anything…just looking to get rid of the call to someone else.

    I've never seen such bad service from a large Australian company….disgraceful.

  • I'm having the same issue. No communication, no response to my emails. Just recieved an email today with a full refund, but quite frankly would rather get what I had bought.

  • I called head office again and left my contact details demanding that someone respond to me.

    Also got put through to their office in the same state that does the on-line orders and left my details there.

    The bastards were still trying to put me through to their on-line order phone number which isn't answered…they have such little respect for their customers they will knowingly put you into a queue that makes you hold for 20 mins before sending you to a message bank.

    They actually did acknowledge they were having issues though which was something.

    I am guessing ill get an email and refund soon as well…very disappointing experience.

    Wont shop with them again if I can avoid it.

    They responded straight away saying they would look into it then nothing… F-ing joke!

    Just lodged a paypal dispute.
