Not a bargain, similar item available at Bunnings for AU$13.50
    http://www.bunnings.com.au/search/products?q=solar%20house%2…

  • I paid $9.99 in 2012 via COTD…there was capped shipping at that time so obviously, the price I paid was ex shipping.

I quite like the product but is if fair to wonder how long before one of societies losers will be highly attracted to this and smash it?
After all - it will be 'bright and shiny' to any passing by twit(s). Extra easy to perpetrate (steal?) along some quiet residential street…
(certainly in the case of installing it out the front footpath).

I think at best even in more affluent suburbs you'd be lucky if it lasted 2-3 years. I'm sure there would be exceptions, but on the average…?
No offence to OP, but seems to me that it would be a bit of a magnet for random antisocial dirtbags to smash 'for fun' or amidst a 'tanty'… drunks etc. IMO.

Again - I DO like the product and the idea of it very much, but if I got one as I installed it, I'd be wondering if I'd should accept that I may
well have to replace every few months/years due to vandalism. It's quite cheap - nicely adds to the charm of your property and for the price…
not so bad even if you have to change it out every … (insert time frame here).
