If the S5 internals were in the Alphas frame I would buy it but at the moment they have this limited phone in a nice case and the S5 beast in a plastic toy one, Samsung….the mind boggles.
also with only a 1860 mAh battery plus 312 ppi pixel density screen, is this phone worth this much just because of the metal casing? I still holding out by recent S4 deal due to its plastic case like a cheapy dummy phone but still asking for almost $400 … my mate said he hates TouchWiz UI and never will use samsung phones anymore …
The Alpha was over $800 at JB a few months ago…. Crazy Samsung prices, now look at it. Looks like it will stabalise around the $450 mark.
Yeah and you could easily sell the gear live for $100 (If you wanted to)
What I've heard from rumours, from forum posts and stuff, was that Samsung, at least in Korea, wanted to release it as a $500 phone, mid-range phone. Apparently it got rejected by the telecommunication companies and they had to up the base price to $700. It might be just rumours though.

Lots, if you want the premium go Note 4, if you want a great phone get S5, If you want a great phone @ cheap price but missing some features go for the Alpha
Sigh, there was a time when Note series were just variants and S series were the main premium flagship line. I think S5 messed up really badly :(
