Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 with Charging Case Black $83.59 Delivered @ MobileCiti ($79.41 Via Officeworks Price Match)

80

Found this deal when trying to get a good deal with Officeworks as they were out of stock on the standard set without the case. Apparently the case adds about 10 hours listening time to the usual 4.5 hours for the headphones alone.

Usual price on mobileciti - $109 + 8.80 postage
Usual officeworks price - $118

Is there a big difference between the 1's and the 2's?
Ebgames has the 1's for $23

    • I want a 1' as a backup.. Seems to be run-out at EB and can only ring up the store to confirm availability.

    • From the plantronics website the major differences I can see are that that the speakers are apparently better, you can have up to 8 devices synced compared to a single device and the case increases time between finding your charger at home.

  • Lost my BackBeat Go 1, it is a bit big and I did not regret a lot

  • … this versus Sony SBH-80 currently at ~$112?

depends what you are using them for. i did a ton of research into this market a while back, i ended up receiving the sbh-80 (but only because i forgot to cancel them :().

they aren't suitable for the gym. i find the length of the cables on the ear things to be rather dorky. i think they'd be suitable for using under a coat on a commute but in a hot climate i don't see when i am going to use them.

if you're looking for something for the gym, i'd go cheap or expensive. i wouldn't go for this middle ground of backbeat go 2 as i don't believe they are that great.

cheap = avantree sacool http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4JWRPO/ref=pe_385040_30332190_T… . i own these and think they are fine. i'm generally doing weights in the gym etc, not jumping and running around, not sure exactly how they'd fare for that, but pretty well i believe.

expensive = jaybird bluebuds x. they're the best in the market, but they have been out quite a few years and it seems like there would be a newer model on the way soon (however, nothing to indicate that).

  • Thanks got some today at Airport West OW. They took the price without delivery so got them for around $71

  • Debating whether to get them with or without the charging case. It's only a $13 difference, but I already I have a portable battery. Does anyone know how many mAh the charging case is?

thing is, you can't use the headphones while they're being charged so even though you get an extra 10 hours usage from that case, it doesn't have any advantages over your portable battery
