My first post, so please be nice. :) Was browsing Amazon for headphones and noticed they have 50% off selected headphones/earbuds, including the Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision earbuds for $29.24US (was $79.95). These are one of the few discounted products in the sale that ship to Australia. When added to the cart, shipping should be $5.65 for a total of $34.89, or about $42AU.

For comparison, the cheapest I could find at a trusted business was at Officeworks for $69. Everywhere else is selling between $80-$100. Sold and shipped by Amazon, so these should hopefully be legit as I'm aware there are a lot of fakes out there.

For extra savings, if there is anything else you want from Amazon before the end of the year that makes your cart total $100US or more, get free shipping by using this Amex deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/170818

Edit: product now no longer sold and shipped by Amazon and new seller does not ship to Australia, so have expired this deal.

These are my favourite in-ear phones, great bang for buck, definitely recommend.

  • $52 at JB Robina for those too impatient

$46-$52 delivered from Aussie online stores, found using staticice. Probably not a deal.

These are great earbuds sound-wise, just be warned that the cord is fragile and not very suited for gym/running usage. I've gone through two pairs.

    • I agree. Great sound if not moving but buds fall out of ears if running.

    • I went through an ebay pair quickly with gym use when the cord broke, bought a "local" pair and they've been going strong for 2 years.

I'd avoid ebay, better off when COTD have them regularly on sale.

  • Decent deal, it just came too late after the half price Bose quiet comforts deal a few weeks ago.

I don't plan to buy any new earphones for a long while.

  • Last month I bought some off ebay for $30, but they turned out to be fakes. On the positive side, the seller refunded me and hasn't asked me to post them back, so I ended up with some mediocre earphones for free.

  • Just an update that my headphones arrived today and they're legit with Australian warranty on the box, in case anyone wants to buy from Amazon in the future. :)
