Never knew Aldi did higher end stuff, thought it was all cheapies. Thanks, might check it out. Probably won't drink it but use it as a shower body scrub in my gwasha (bi-carb soda and a splash of vodka to make a paste to scrub over skin and hair). ;-p

As long as you don't use dishwasher liquid on your skin.

Yep. Mentioned this in the forum 2 months ago.

Dishwashing liquid would be horrible. This gwasha is great. It's a Russian beauty secret during 70s when they couldn't get soap but had plenty of vodka and bi-carb.

          this is polish vodka

p.s. if you're actually serious i'll buy you a couple of bottles of shower gel in exchange for your vodka?

        • @didsburydan: Try it.

Probably best of me to point out I like quality and luxury. I know people have used Stoli for over $60 to $80 or so per 1000mL for their Gwasha.

First did it a year ago for a month or so, everyone seemed to have noticed the difference. So give it a go, only a shot glass of vodka to a cup of bi-carb. Then I didn't do it until again until a few weeks ago and can't believe I left it so long, I forgot how amazing it was, it's much better than I remember. Someone else had made it for me from a very pricey sample/hotel bar fridge size bottle of vodka. Don't drink much at all so never really got around to buying vodka let alone going near a grog shop.

You're not using the whole bottle or anything, so you can drink it still, just a little bit for the 500gms of bi-carb in a rectangle glass Lock & Lock air and water tight type lid container thingy. Sistema & Clip Fresh are the other types.

It's a good back up if you ever run out of soap or go to another home and they don't have good soap that you'd be comfortable using on your skin.

Polish vodka would be perfect then, it's spelled the same as polish. Scrub and polish your skin with soda and alcohol. Honest guys it's amazing.

You can always just use bi-carb and water if you must or a super tight ass but the alcohol preserves it and prevents bacteria contamination, so only use the water one as a once off rather than a bulk container of it. Just stand in shower and sprinkle a bit of bicarb in hands and scrub all over.

        • thanks for the advice, however, unfortunately you can't polish a turd.

        • @didsburydan: That doesn't make sense. Is the vodka crap? The bi-carb? Me? WTF.

online only or in store as well?

Anything over $40 for vodka is too much.

Pretty subjective comment right there - but fyi, Bunnings sell cheaper spirits if you are really looking to save

If you've got access to carbon filters (Mythbusters used Brita ones) you can turn your cheap $10 one into a nice $60 one. Just pass it through filter 4 to 6 times. Honest.

This is the price from duty free. Good deal for good vodka

Awesome price for Belvedere! Has anyone else tried the Costco branded vodka? It's actually pretty damn decent for the price

  • 700ml bottle is $49.90 at Dan Murphy - so fairly similar pricing…

    • FYI Dan Murphy dropped its price probably because of this deal

it was $55 the other day has been conveniently going up since it hit a pretty low price of around $48 earlier in December.

  • Dan Murphy's has a 700ml Vodka for $26.90, this is pretty normal as they usually have one brand of vodka at $27 but the Vodka comes with free red cups worth $3.90
