I havent seen this set this cheap before! Very nice addition to garage from a very reliable brand name. The roller cupboard/trolley is a quality piece just on its own. But at this price WITH tools inside it, pretty hard to beat value wise.

1/4" & 3/8 Drive
Tool kit includes a wide range of tools, roller cabinet & chest
Ratchet handles come with a non slip handle, reversiable & quick release mechanism

I havent seen this set this cheap before!

Two of the 3 reviews got it for $199 so it must go on sale regularly. And even those that bought at half price think it's pretty ordinary quality. I would definitely want to check this out in-store before I purchase based on those reviews.

Been this price multiple times before.

"The roller cupboard/trolley is a quality piece just on its own."

    it's thin and cheap.

    • It's lightweight and functional ;).

Of course its thinner than Sidchrome quality roller tool toxes… but you can expect to pay double or triple this price… with no tools in that case.

For most folk working at home in the garage, this is still a pretty good deal!

I reckon its good quality for the price. Allow $100-150 for the tools… so $50-100 for the roller trolley is still pretty good value!

      • You sound like a salesman trying to flog off junk to customers.

Nup… just a happy customer who bought one.

          (and its not junk)

For the price it's a very good deal, the tools themselves are slightly under par with the quality of the current sidchrome tools.

Unless you're buying kincrome or snap on, you wont be able to tell the difference in quality between these cheaper tool kits.

Also these come with lifetime warranty as well so any general diy'er that needs a few tools and a cabinet should get one of these.

If anyone in Melbourne is after this for the tools, I'll happily happ buy thethe roller trolley off you

    • I'm in Melbourne, would be interested in just the tools. Send me a pm and see if we can work something out?

  • I bought this last time it was on sale.

The tools are OK, as is the top tool tray. The base of the cupboard is thin and cheap. The wheels are atrocious and I've replaced them to make it functional (they jam and won't swivel)

If you already have tools, skip this and buy a more sturdy trolley.

First thing, this is not a bad deal.

But this is not a quality set. This is going to make me sound like a stodgy old fart, and maybe a bit elitist, but Stanley aren't what they used to be. I have an old - I have no idea how old but it'd be decades - Stanley screwdriver which still looks new and which I covet deeply, and has outlasted a couple of sets of newer Stanley drivers that seem to be made of marshmallow. Even some cheapies I bought at Hot Dollar have outlasted them.

While I'm at it, Sidchrome aren't that good either (my set started flaking within a couple of months of occasional use), but are probably good enough for the home/occasional use.

The reason you buy good tools is because they won't damage your car/equipment. Low quality spanners for example will expand very slightly on the bolt and grip it incorrectly, causing it to warp. If you're only using them occasionally that's OK, but if you keep using rubbish tools on the same bolt one day it won't come off.

A good workman never blames his tools. That's because a good workman uses good quality tools!
