Things to Do in Melbourne on an Exceedingly Hot Day

Friday is supposed to be 37-38 degrees, and I'm playing tour guide for a couple of friends from overseas.
Any suggestions on things to do? They've done enough walking around, so I kinda want something that is slow and relaxed.
I was gonna spend an extended time at a cafe or some kind of garden/park, but with the heat as it is, it has to be somewhere where we can keep cool also. Any ideas?

    Procreation Recreational activities at the beach or a pool?

    How about casinos? Even walking around them would be fine since they are relatively known and they have fountains, so it would be nice and cool.

    Window shopping.
    Swimming (indoor pool?)
    Movies?
    Sea Life Aquarium?

    go for a long drive along Great Ocean - air con in the Car and then go to a nice cool café along the way.
