I do love the Sportsdirect "sort by discount" feature…

  • +1

Deal is good compared to other stores in AU, although the "FREE SHIPPING" isn't really that free.

For the item I bought, I compared their global (UK) vs AU site.

    UK Order summary
    1 item £80.00
    Delivery £15.99
    Total £95.99

£15.99 works out to 30.52 AUD
£95.99 works out to 183.25 AUD

183.25 * 0.8 = 146.6 (this is an estimate as I didn't go through with purchase enough to enter discount code)

    AU Order summary
    1 item $189.98
    Delivery Free
    Discount -$38.00
    Total $151.98

I ended up buying from the AU site because the difference isn't that much. But I could have used my 28 degrees card to save an extra $5 or so, instead I had points added to my rewards program by using my AUD card.

    • Does the UK site remove VAT? Generally it's not levied on exported goods.

      • I asked this earlier (below),seems like they dont - so 20% VAT that you should not pay ends up it works out that it cancels out the discount.

        • Cheers. That sucks.
I normally check if my question had already been asked (I swear I looked!)

  • I've never ordered anything online with them, but if you're over there you definitely want to head into a shop… They have some insanely cheap pricing! (and the Lily Whites store in London is about 8 stories of sportswear!)

    • +1

      they are good to go.

made 2 orders with the cheap $1 tshirts

Some items missing and got a refund email within 1 hr of inquiry

Just check prices guys as this garmin at $479 is $250 at rebel sports with cash rewards added.
Even the 20% off price is on par with the standard rebel price.

Got genuine Nike Socceroos jersey $34 ($90 here), Sondico shinpads $10 ($29 here) and football socks $4 ($12 here).

  • I was really happy with my order from these guys . All there and good quality and good shipping time .

  • I must be blind, but where do I enter the code?

    • +2

      big NYE eh …

    • +1

Before you submit payment there is an option to put voucher code.
If I'm not mistaken there are 4 clickable buttons on the web, click the last one.

  • That means you can get the slazenger items for $0.80!!!

    • Got both these last time.

Really good value for $1 for a pack of 5. Shipping was $1 each on top of each item so wasn't complaining at all.

Shipping took a loooong time though.

  • Is shipping free?

I am buying 120 dollars of stuff….,free shipping disappears after I enter TAKE20

  • +4

If you only buy 120 dollars worth of stuff, that will be less than $100 when you take 20% off…..Shipping is free for $100 worth (minimum). You need to have at least $125 dollars before 20% discount to get free shipping

    Subtotal: $125.00
    Discount: $25.00 (20% of $125)

    Total: $100 Free Shipping

    • It cost me $60 to return broken headphones to Amazon :(

    • +6

I had a pretty bad time with these guys for my one and only order. They sent the wrong item, would not respond to email requests for service, and didn't respond until I raised a chargeback request via my bank. They then asked me to send the item back at my expense, then rather than send me the correct item, simply refunded the original purchase.

In the end it cost me money to shop with them (return shipping) and I didn't end up getting my purchase.

      • I wonder if u paid via paypal u could dispute through them

    • 11 neg votes to my information about returns but no reply, similar to post above. Can one of the silent neggers explain?

woo $72 for the Arsenal Jersey! Cheers!!

    • +1

$74 inc delivery for Liverpool, not bad!

      • …but, it's Liverpool

        • Let me guess, Chelsea?

        • @watchman:
          Any other team, really :P

          The Collingwood of soccer.

28 footballs* for $130. Not bad. Although I can't say I've heard of Sondico before.

    *aka soccerballs

VivoFit is $149 without a heart rate monitor on that store whereas I could get it for $94 (or pay an extra $10 for the HRM version) at Rebel http://search.rebelsport.com.au/search?w=Vivofit that's a pretty big price difference. Not ripping on the sale, there might be a few good stuff but I was just particularly interested in the vivofit and noticed the pricing was pretty bad lol

    • The HRM version is $159 or is there a code to apply?

      • +1

The HRM version is $159 at Rebel but it was $279 at sportsdirect. So even with the discount codes, Rebel is still much cheaper for the Vivofits.

    • +1

It won't let me edit the post for some reason but I forgot to clarify, I meant $10 extra since it's $159 for the VivoFit HRM at Rebel.

Posts are locked after someone replies, or XX (?) minutes.

        • Oh thanks. I figured there was some sort of time lock wasn't sure though.

Just be aware that SD inflated prices to have regular sales like this… much like a camping store in Aus we all know.

    • +1

      Stores plural.

    • +3

Never knew dickies sold camping gear ;)

    • +2

I did a SportsDirect order of 20 various items a couple of days ago, so this deal would of been handy to have then. I did though check the prices of each item now as compared to when I did the order & all prices are still the same.

    • Surely, at Ozbargain that's an instant neg vote?!

Relying on deception to make sales. Grrr…

  • Site not working properly …. If you open this page and click on any link under "Fitness Equipment" u gets redirected to the home page. Very annoying.

    • Yep same with the link to soccer goals. They probably don't feel like posting large pieces of equipment for free.

  • good deal!

  • Is their men's shoe sizing in UK or US sizes?

    • its UK sizing, but see the link in the OP for details of sizing.

  • was going to buy a NBA jersey and the total was $62.95, was about to pay for it then priced jumped to $66.95?

  • As people have mentioned you will find things cheaper elsewhere even after the discount, but i've been in their stores a few times and always ended up coming out with more than i wanted!

Had a pile of t-shirts sitting in my shopping cart for a few days wondering to buy or not, but this just made it easier to buy and another $70 discount with the voucher. Don't see many $0.80 t-shirts at Rebel.

  • Bought some Slazenger 5 Pack Crew Sports Socks recently. It had strange dye smell and I ended up throwing them away. Their $1 pants aren't good either. However, their 5 Pack Trainer Socks are good quality.

  • Would like to neg but thought maybe give it a few more days as I am still waiting for my Nov order. Sent them an email last week, replied with tracking details. Somehow it shows it was delivered on 5th of Dec.

Wife was home all the time and no card left in our mailbox. Don't understand why they provide tracking while no signature is required. Anyway, sent another email and waiting for their response now.

    • go to your nearest post office and enquire about it. Sometimes the postie was just too lazy to drop the card

  • +1

do they take the 20% vat tax off the order as well (they should be but some UK stores don't)
I guess the 20% off sale makes it just even then.

    • +2

Based on my previous orders with SD, VAT is not deducted.

      • +1

Thnks. so they make an extra 20% that they don't need to give to the UK gov?

  • thanks op ordered this kit http://au.sportsdirect.com/slazenger-u-15-kit-cricket-bag-85… looks like a great price for what you get ..and also ordered some cricket clothing.

  • +6

Just a heads up when dealing with Sports Direct.

I placed a order with them which came to a bit over $205 when they had the $20 voucher for every $100 spend promo, anyway, my order went thru ok, but a few days later some items got cancelled from my order after I paid for them.

This resulted in my adjusted order coming under the $200 (by $3) mark for the second voucher, making me miss out on the promo.

They have been bastards to deal with on this issue, I was prepared to spend another $100-200 in the near future using my 2 vouchers, but now they have screwed that idea. I don't think I will buy from them again after using my first voucher.

I never got any indications/warnings or errors at any stage when I ordered/added the items to cart about them not been able to be sent Int.

They basically called me a liar about not seeing any comment on the offending items page as being not availble to shipped.
But I did take screenshots of all items I ordered (which was a bit), clearly showing no such comments, they just said tuff.

I have never been treated like his on any site before.

So in short always take screen shots when ordering anything from anyone, especially these c**ts.

    Sorry for long rant

  • I never thought to check before but there is a cashback with Sports Direct, but not through one of the AU sites. You have to go through Topcashback. The cashback is 5.25% for new customers, 2.1% for existing customers.

  • My order (see above) arrived yesterday. Awesome.
