Coles - GRINDERS Nespresso Compatible Pods x 10 - $5, save $1.49

70

Couldn't find these on the Coles website so I've linked to Grinders instead.

Not a huge saving on the RRP or Nespresso's own pods, more of a heads up for those with Nespresso machines looking for alternatives. We just bought the CREMA to try and it's a pretty decent drop but I'll also be buying a pack of each of the more intense pods to try (I like my coffee strong with a dash of moo).

Note: I have read that recent Nespresso machines have much finer needles which may NOT puncture plastic compatible pods, which these are. Caveat emptor.

"Grinders® coffee capsules are available in 5 deliciously rich, bold and complex flavours to enjoy cup after cup with flavour intensities from 12 to 7

  • Have a Breville U Solo machine (http://www.breville.com.au/u-solo-pure-white.html) and it has no problems with these Grinders pods…

  • these are meant to be pretty good. I like the Coles brand ones as well (which were $1 off - $3 per box about a month back}.

  • I bought some of these pods and was hugely disappointed. (compared to the Nespresso Capsules)
Weak watery tasting coffee. Would not recommend.

    • Don't be a shy toad, share your experience and tell us which ones. What was the crema they produced like? What machine do you have?

For mine the ONLY decent Nespresso pod is the purple Arpeggio but it's all personal taste.

      • I have two machines, a simple Inissia i bought for work, and a Lattisima at home.
I tried ALTURA and CREMA about a month ago, in an attempt to find some more convenient pods, able to be bought at Coles etc.
I drink as Dbl Espresso and found the flavour to be lacking if drinking anything more than a single 30ml shot or with milk.
A few work colleagues tried also and were of the same opinion.
Might as well go for the Coles branded pods, of Nespresso if you want a fuller flavour.

  • Didn't care for the Espresso - 12 at all.

  • +1

Try the Coles housebrand pods in either Brazil or Sumatra varities, intense (and varied) flavour, good crema and capable of making a reasonable volume of espresso strong coffee which is a problem with some of the competition. Using de Longhi Pixie. Wife says also makes a great latte. $4 for pack of ten every day ..:-) .. !!

    • Tried them 12 months ago when I got my Citiz. I liked the taste, but the pods didn't like ejecting smoothly, and they took twice as long to pump out a shot. Perhaps they have improved them since then?. Dunno.

  • Paid full price for these ($6 or 7) and really didn't think they were worth it, don't taste any better than the coles brand or others.
