Nice find and welcome to OzBargain!

Found this as well. Same price but with another speaker and aux in

Nice find but $22 postage for Melbourne kills it.

    • I have this model, it's sound is better than the posted one
The pin connector broke so can't charge my phone anymore

      • How big is the unit and comparable sound. thanks

        • This unit is wider than the model posted, Its sound quality is much better as well, nevertheless not so great. The 30 pin connecter is fragile. Price at $25 with dab for both models is just right.

      Another speaker?

      1. Rondo
        Stereo speakers: 2 x 1.5W output
        vs
      2. Vector H
        Output power: 2 x 3W

The AUX in is the main advantage I see although the Rondo is mains only, no battery bay.

*Edit: The Vector H has AUX in as well

  • Good deal if it has battery for portable play. I dont see that information on the site.

  • There is an eBay listing for this model that says it does. Playback time is listed as less than 5 hours there. Takes 4AA

  • I know Telefunken the well known German electronics manufacturer. What I was looking for was who actually supports Telefunken products in Australia? These products found at most retailers but there is zero information about them anywhere on the net. Assuming tese are not the same but some rebadged Chinese manufactured products bearing the same name.

… more than 35 companies … develop, produce, and distribute products under the TELEFUNKEN brand in more than 120 countries - Telefunken

The brand doesn't imply anything worthwhile anymore.

I think you will find that many of the brand names of yore like Blaupunkt, Sansui, etc have been sold or licensed to other companies, usually manufacturing in China. This is not to say they are no good, they can be decent quality, you just have to judge each product on its merits.

      • Plus Akai - all using old names on generic, rebadged Chinese electronics. Made to a (lowest) price.

It is the iPhone 4 connector, not lightning.

  • $16.75 delivery to Perth….#sigh#

  • does this come with a remote?

  • Cheers OP! Grabbed a couple and plan to see how easy/difficult it is to replace the 30-Pin connector with a MicroUSB Adaptor plate from one of those $5 IDAPT chargers from DSE a few months back… just for charging, not for data or audio connectivity. If not then I'll just add short USB cables to them to charge an Android phone laying on top to remove the need for extra plugpacks etc. in the bedroom. Nice bonus to be able to wake up to Double-J too ;)

for for $7 more you can get a bluetooth adapter
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bluetooth-Music-Receiver-Audio-Ad…

Havent used one of these before but heard that they work ok.

    Considering this…

thanks addict. this seems like a nifty addon. gonna give it a go.

    • I can vouch for those bluetooth adapters .. fits onto my Kogan DAB radio 30pin connector and then I use bluetooth on any of my devices to play any of my music.

  • Does the Vector H comes with a sleep timer. Cant seem to find anything on this feature

  • Good deal, though no AM would be a deal breaker for me.

Also, looks okay, but not sure about the actual alarm and other functionality on this one.

    • +1

All the AM stations are broadcast on DAB+, so you won't miss out on them just because there's no AM band. In fact, the quality is much better in digital broadcast

Wait, ok just wait a second here folks… pickup is FREE?!
    No freaking way o_O

    • +1

You would be surprised how many times we were asked previously if it does cost to pick up, especially since we do transfers in between our stores (obviously at no extra charge) to your preferred store.

What is the deal with iphone connectors on everything? I refuse to buy heaps of stuff cos of this. Make docks/audio equipment without iphone F^#king connectors people!!!!

    • +1

Yeah it would be better to have some kind of industry standard port on the device… such as USB on the back so you could plug in anything?

Obsolescence would be less of an issue then… but maybe thats what you are looking for as a manufacturer, good reason to sell another product - new improved updated ipod connector :/

  • Hey all, just a warning, I bought one of these and returned a few days later.
The LCD display on mine was NQR. From a straight angle you could not make out the numbers and other display on the screen - you can only view it properly from an angle.

Anyway, could be an issue with my particular unit.
Return process was okay, they didn't give any hassles - although the lady forgot to process the refund initially.

Anyway, got myself an "Ocean Digital Clock Radio" - which you can check out on Youtube and purchase on eBay.

    Cheers

  • @microbite Thanks for posting!
FYI, we've sold through most of our stock already but have another shipment outstanding which should arrive later this week.
We apologize if anyone's order got delayed but it should only be a few days. We can always provide a full refund and you can reorder when stock is in later this week.

This is a very good price. And it gives me a use for my old iPod. Thank you for posting

Why are almost all other DAB+ Radio's so expensive in Australia - and don't even have all these features!

    • Highly recommended … your comment is correct …

  • Has anyone else received there's? I received mine today, it was dead on arrival :(

    • +1

I received mine, very happy with it so far. Sorry to hear about your one.

      • Me too :-)
