Hi All,

Mike here. I am a manufacturer rep for MEElectronics and just wanted to share today's Amazon Deal of the Day which, for the first time ever, is our products! This is a huge deal (pun intended) for us – only a select few headphone brands get to be Amazon’s deal of the day in any given year. The promo includes our popular sports earphones that we don't currently have any inventory of ourselves, so I am hoping this post will be of use to anyone who has asked for a deal on those recently.

Here are the products and prices included in the promotion:

Sport-Fi M6 Sports In-Ear Headphones: $10.99
All of our Sport-Fi earphones are designed for active use and feature memory wire that conforms to the ear for a comfortable, secure fit, dynamic sound, and sweat resistance (backed by our 1-year warranty). The M6 is our original Sport-Fi model.

Sport-Fi M6P Sports In-Ear Headset: $16.99 (available in black and clear colors only)
The M6P is the same as the M6 but adds an inline microphone, remote, and universal volume control (remote compatibility info here)

Sport-Fi S6P Sports In-Ear Headset with Armband: $21.99
The S6P offers all of the features of the M6P, plus an included touchscreen-compatible sports armband (fits phones with screens up to about 5.1"), and convenient modular cable system.

Sport-Fi X6 Wireless Sports In-Ear Headset: $39.99
The X6 is the wireless evolution of the Sport-Fi earphones, eliminating the distraction of wires and providing unparalleled freedom of movement and convenience with locked-in fit and built-in mic/remote.

Atlas On-Ear Headset: $34.99
The Atlas is our flagship wired headphone and was tuned to deliver deep, powerful bass while maintaining very good clarity (in that way it is the on-ear counterpart to our in-ear M-Duo model). It comes in five different designs courtesy of in-mold labeling (IML) technology. The detachable cable features mic, remote, and universal volume control.

This is an Amazon.com deal of the day so all orders will be processed and shipped by Amazon. I tried putting various Australian addresses in an I'm getting postage starting at $5.65 for the M6 going up to $8.28 for the Atlas. As far as I know these are the lowest-ever prices on these products with international postage.

Link to promotion page. This is a 24-hour promotion that will expire at midnight January 5th 12:00 AM PST (January 6th 7:00 PM AEDT). I will mark this post expired once it's over.

Would be happy to answer any questions about the promotion below, by PM, or via email at mike(at)s2einc(dot)com

  • No over the hear headsets? Bummer. Was looking to replace my Logitech UE4000 as it's too uncomfortable and the highs sound a little too muddy for my liking.

    • The Atlas is about the same size as the 4000 (on-ear) and doesn't suffer from muddy highs :). Don't have any bigger wired headphones in our lineup, unfortunately.

      over the hear

I see what you did there.

  • Perfect timing. I just lost my M6 earphones over the holiday period! I knew I should've gotten a few extra for spares. Thanks Mike!

  • Was looking at the Bluetooth one, but the reviews don't seem too favorable n Amazon

    • Would not recommend them!

I have had a pair for less than 6 months, had to send the first pair in after 3-4 months of weekly use as the glue on the right ear piece…disintegrated and while the earphones kept working it was unwearable.

And now only a few weeks after getting the RMA'd X6s back (which I paid around $14 to send to them!!), the freaking top button that increases volume on the right ear piece has decided it no longer wants to be pressed and is stuck.

And I'll be damned if I pay another $14 to RMA them again. Tried and failed, will have to wait for a good deal on Jaybird Bluebuds X.

I am not familiar with the exact details of this case but that is not our standard operating procedure, which I'm sure someone else here can attest to. We rarely if ever ask for items to be shipped back to us internationally, and we would provide a pre-paid shipping label or cover postage if asked. If you can email or PM me your RMA number I can look into it and see what happened. Thanks.

        • Oh I see, well I've got the RMA number so I sent you a PM.

        • @Telios: Thank you, replied

        • @mikemeelec: Thanks for the information. In case anyone else has a similar problem, make sure you tell the warranty staff you are an international buyer. This seems to have been the issue.

  • Hi Mike, any special for matrix2 ?

    • +1

None that I'm aware of right now. We're still a little light on inventory from the Holiday rush, but I'll do a promo once we get more in.

      • Thanks Mike.

      • would love to see a deal on the matrix 2!
just did some research on them
seems perfect for the computer or the phone!
looking forward to a nice deal!

        • Noted, will do one as soon as I can.

          @mikemeelec:

Hopefully it'll be better deal than previous one knowing oz dollar is getting worse. And also cause we're ozbargainers ;)

I bought one of the X6 bluetooths in their last OzBargain deal (early December?). The build quality is a little lacking for some immaterial things (e.g. the charging LED doesn't line up with the hole - I can see its light leaking from around the USB port) but I'm impressed with them so far.

I bought the BackBeat Go 2's a few months back for twice the price and could never get a good seal in the ears - the factory buds weren't large enough and the stems are a strange size so aftermarket ones don't fit. Thus they lack any bottom end whatsoever if you move (sound great if you stay still though). Further, they fell out of the ears easily and the cord would flop around behind my neck. So whilst they were very high quality and good on phone calls, they haven't been fit for purpose. I even added a pair of Decibullz and whilst they kept the buds in the ear, they don't help with the seal…

These X6s, by contrast, have been good - the memory wire works well and the cinch holds the cord tight around the back of your neck. I've also managed to get a decent seal in the ear canal, so the sound is effectively better too!

I too bought the X6 recently - and think they are FANTASTIC
      highly recommended

  • thanks, ordered some. have been keen on the transparent m6's for a while.

only wished the AUD was @ parity ;_; …

  • Does anyone know if it is possible to get non-isolating tips for the Sport-Fi X6 Wireless Sports In-Ear Headset? I go running and want to make sure that I can hear the traffic. Plus I don't like hearing the rubbing of the cable the normally comes with noise isolating earphones.

    • +2

I wouldn't recommend doing this - the way in-ear earphones are tuned relies on a seal with your ear canal, which is also what provides the noise isolation. As you try less and less "sealing" eartips, you'll get sound that more and more resembles a tin can.

An earphone that is designed to be non-isolating, like our AF16 model for instance: http://www.meelec.com/Air_Fi_Journey_AF16_Wireless_Bluetooth… probably sounds worse than an X6 but better than a non-sealed X6, and would be better in this case.

Got the M6P in the lucky bag type deal last year, it got some use and I loved it,cable and ear loop worked well, perfect for the car and running. Sound quality was great, calls were perfect.
Literally only started faulting at the microphone connection last month so ill grab these for sure.
    Thanks Mike!

    Hi rep,

I've been contacting a number of company reps that ship overseas or deal with overseas customers to inform them of a New Zealand site we now run.

If you are interested in sharing your deals with Kiwi's as well, feel free to post on our sister site: ChoiceCheapies

    Cheers.

    • Thanks, great to know. Just registered an account, now under 24-hour probation period.

Gift card donated to a charity for the best deals each month seems like a great idea!

      • I've set the bypass flag, so you are free to post now.

The gift card or donation to charity are options for the top deals, it's at the discretion of the users what they do with their prize :)

        • I remember ozbargain had this back in 2009 but had to shut it down to comply with local laws regarding competitions.

        • @wang:

We've checked the relevant documentation for NZ and nothing appears to prevent this. Of course we only have one set of laws, as opposed to multiple state laws.

        • Much appreciated!

  • Thanks. Just bought 6 of them (M6). Somehow I can only get 3 for each color though, a limit on Amazon?

    • Looks that way. I can't order 4 of the same SKU either. Not brilliant as you can still get 7x3=21 units in different colors in a single order.

  • Well done on achieving Amazon front page Mike.

    • Thank you very much. There's no overstating how big an opportunity this is in terms of showing Amazon and other retail partners worldwide our product strength and brand potential.

  • Thanks Rep
    Ordered an M6P

  • These came apart on me fairly quickly. Wouldn't buy again.

    • There is a 1-year warranty on all of our products as long as they were purchased in "new" condition.

      • Thanks, I will keep in mind when buying my a different pair of MEE earphones. most likely during the next ozbargain deal.
