I am Done with netgear, their fix for an issues is often to bring out a new revision of hardware and stop making firmware updates for your version..3 times now

I am Done with Shopping Express - 12 days to ship an in stock item to Melbourne - ordered other items from two online stores 2 days later and received them 3 days earlier than Shopping Express.

    Amazon US is faster.

Shopping - Yes, Express - NO!

Was this during the Holiday period? If so, it is understandable since it would be due to the transport company taking days off…

    • The two orders I have made from them were both delivered next business day.

    • Shopping Express have always been ok with me.

    • I ordered something on Xmas day and something else on 1st Jan. On the order page, I am seeing that their status are marked "pick". No idea what that means…there is no tracking info too. Emailed them but no response yet.

Anyone knows what the status code "pick" actually means?

      • It usually means that it has been allocated to you and that they are ready for shipping… this is going off my own knowledge of how warehouses work… I could be wrong.

      • Pretty sure it means that the item has been invoiced and allocated but not yet removed from its shelf position.

        • Thanks for that. I tried to ring ShoppingExpress but there is no one picking up the phone. Not very impressed by the lack of response at this stage.

    • I ordered two items from them before. The second item redelivered three times before I got. I spent three days doing nothing, sitting at home and waited for the driver to come. It was sent back to their depot and redelivered. It took more than three weeks to deliver to Sydney CBD, while Auspost took less than 1 week. Then I complained about it to Shopping Express, they tried to bribe me to take off the negative review on productreview using a gold class ticket, which of course they never sent. No thanks, no more Shopping Express and Fastway.

      • Wouldnt that be a problem with an incompetant courier? Did the package leave Shopping Express within a reasonable time frame?

I purchased Netgear D6200 10-12 months ago at $115ish shipped. So no deal to SE..

  • I'm actually still questioning that A6200…

That adapter averages around $57 on staticice… for them to put "was $99" is pretty stupid in my book.

Not to mention you can get it price beat at OW against wireless1 ($54)

  • What are peoples thoughst on the "Netgear GS116E Prosafe 16 Port Switch Desktop $89 was $255 "

Was thinking of just picking up the TPLINK $79 16port gigabit switch from MSY for 79.

    • The prosafe series are managed switches; the TPlink is not. It's worth the extra $10 and the wait - if you're buying two items.

The GS116E can hardly be called "managed" with so few configurable settings.

      From http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122…

      • No web configuration.
      • No telnet/ssh configuration.
      • Proprietary configuration utility is Windows only, no OSX or Linux support.
      • Configuration utility requires the configuring windows system to be on the same IP subnet as the switch, a problem for some of the vlan configurations you might want to setup.
      • Configuration utility requires internet access. Especially annoying if you are trying to configure the switch from a system with a temporarily changed IP address to match the switches default IP, and the switches default subnet is not routable on your network.
      • No configuration options for flow control.
      • No configuration options for port speed, duplex mode, or auto negotiation.
      • Requires Adobe Air for the non-portable switch configuration utility
  • The D1500 (without adapter) is $43 with free shipping from Wireless1: http://goo.gl/fjVFqV
