  • I saw that today.

However must resist as i only liked the deserts last time i made 2 orders.

  • Made an order last night including all the specials - brilliant deal on the pasta. Also the raspberry tart is to-die-for.

  • Here I come… 10 kgs of pasta!

    • bleh tart doesn't stack with the $30 off :P

      • That sucks, they have caught up on us !!

      • +1

guess i'll get 16 kgs of pasta.

      • It did for me. Got the tart for free and $30 off.

        • thanks - deal updated :)

      • Mine arrived today, and they did include the tart as well as giving me $30 off and free shipping.

Note: I had a problem with the original transaction process.

When I got to payment confirmation, I had been given:
        - $30 off (correct)
        - a charge for full shipping (despite it claiming it was giving me shipping free) … not correct
        - a free tart as described in the title

I hit the back key, checked my details were correct for address etc (and this time I think it said shipping was $0). I hit continue. This time around I was told:
        - $30 off (correct)
        - free shipping (correct)
        - free tart had disappeared.

I finished the transaction on Sunday, selecting today, Tuesday to receive the order.

It arrived and it included the free tart :)

        • I'm trying out the prawn and crab mezzulune now :)

I followed the instructions and it came out at a texture I like (I should have drained it a little earlier though; letting it sit in the water a few minutes wasn't a good thing)

That said, the flavour, the texture … I do like it. I am adding some Italian parmesan, but that's a preference. (So, no sauce, just having the cooked pasta as is, with a touch of cheese)

Serving size is probably about right. A person who eats "heartily" will probably eat more than one serve (maybe almost or even 2). Others will probably find it is 2 serves.

My one regret is I didn't read the deal properly, and pick up a 4 pack of pastas for $5 :P

This particular pasta I would be happy to buy again. :)

        • @foundit:
          at a discounted price

  • +1

Just be aware guys that in the terms and conditions, they have suggested that they have the right to charge you full amount (on a new account) if you have already claimed the $30 off $50 at the same address on an old account.

You can ONLY claim the $30 off $50 once per address, not per person

  • Most of the food is made in France or Italy.
Giant beans are great. Moussaka is good. Chimichurri rice was really good.
The seafood was pretty weak overall. Nothing compared to the delicious Asian styles we have in Aus although the French bouillabaisse was interesting. Gelato was ok - a bit commercial fake but good.

  • Wow. Just got 4 Pizzas, 12 pastas & a raspberry tart delivered for $21.90 using the $30 off $50

  • Their pizzas and desserts are very good. Pastas are hit and miss. Thinking about visiting their brick and mortar store in South Yarra.

      prahran, actually - click+collect now available :)

  • Anyone successfully deliver to Brisbane? i put a whole bunch in my cart, started salivating, then couldn't deliver to my address.. or my sister's.. Inner city for both? pickup option was in Prahan.. melbourne?

    • sorry, forgot to mention mel+syd only - deal updated :)

  • New customers can order 3kg of CHICKEN THIGH FILLETS for $20 = $6.66kg delivered

  • Bought 3 pasta specials (12 packs) and a meat lovers pack for $20 delivered. The chocolate cake was not included though - not a bad thing after the Xmas chocolate overload

  • I ordered a bunch of food earlier this year and have found it consistently awful. Everything from the pastas to roast vegetables ends up as a soggy flavourless mess no matter how it's cooked.

The desserts might be okay but I will not be ordering from them again.

    • sorry to hear :(

soggy even when cooked on the stove or in the oven?

      • fine for me but I'd recommend draining it as soon as it's the right texture :)

        • Pasta cooked on stovetop, either from frozen, or thawed, per instructions.
        • Roast vegetables in oven for appropriate time and temperature, per instructions.
  • Thanks, ordered pasta and gelato, hopefully tastes as good as it looks…

    • Bacio has a much stronger nut taste than I've found over here, but is consistent with this coming from Italy. That said, I like it.

Fior di latte is also very nice. :)

  • Must say, they responded to my email on a Sunday and added the tart to my order even though it wasn't on the invoice. Total came to around $32 after the first customer discount. To try food soon

  • Got my order yesterday, super fast, very impressed! Had the prawn toast, prawn cigars and vegetarian moussaka for dinner last night, not a bad meal. Also, my chocolate tart wasn't on the original invoice when I checked out but they reply to emails quickly and made sure to include it in the delivery - win. It's delicious.
