Works ok, interface is pretty clunky though and wants to direct you to buy other apps made by them. 7/10 since it gives detailed info unlike the stock weather app.

  • Only for iPad, right?

        ClearWeather or ClearWeather HD ?

  • Thanks OP. Just grabbed it and I like it !

Where's the data sourced from? The BoM or an inaccurate O/S source? There's nothing in the description on the App Store.

Definitely not the BOM - you will find most, if not all, "global" weather apps will source their data from somewhere like AccuWeather.

None of its data matches PocketWeather's, which does get its info from the BOM.

      • If an app uses BOM, it normally says so. eg. Weatherzone+

Which is why I just have http://m.bom.gov.au pinned to my homescreen. It's always free, it's always the most accurate, and it's not ugly.

  • Showing as $2.99 in the AU iTunes store?

    • Correct, but if you want it free, it's still available in US store if you have a US account.

    Still free

Not expired yet, now I am downloading, thanks.

  • Spend a couple of bucks ($2.49) and get Weatherzone Plus, far better interface and much more accurate data sourced from BOM and then deciphered by the Weatherzone team. Or get the free version which is IMO a lot better than clearweather.
