I'm not sure if it was placebo or simply a correlation, but 5HTP really did seem to improve my mood. However most of these are rubbish for weight loss anyway.
5-HTP definately does work, it's a worthwhile supplement.
Yeah, it does improve your mood; works very similarly to antidepressants (raises your serotonin, a.k.a 5HT).
Worth noting that you shouldn't take these drugs unless their recommended to you by a doctor.
It's my understanding that effectiveness of drugs that increase levels of serotonin decrease over time. I am not a medical professional, but I am guessing most people on here aren't either. Get professional advise.
