So what you're saying is… pay at LEAST $1488, be locked into a 24month plan… and you happen to get the wireless adapter as well…

No sale thanks… this is OzBargain… not OzStandard mobile deal with inflated plan prices and small freebies, lol

    • Hi kudoz83, there's no obligation to buy obviously - just wanted to let you know about the offer. Just my opinion, but you're after a Lumia phone on contract with Telstra that has decent specs and a reasonable price you can't look past the Lumia 830. Obviously if you're going on contract anyway, you might as well take advantage of a free wireless display adapter while they're available. Telstra's Lumia 830 is also available for outright purchase for $504 RRP and comes with two covers in the box - black and orange.

$62 a month for this phone … lol.

For $60/month you can get the Lumia 930 with unlimited calls/sms and 2GB of data every month. So for $2 cheaper a month, better phone, more calls/sms and more data…

This is with Optus, I'm sure there are better deals out there than this too~!

    • Hi viggenn. Thanks for sharing this. Yes, you can find different deals on different handsets if you go with a different carrier. It's also possible to buy handsets outright from grey market importers if you're price sensitive and don't mind a grey market import device.

One thing I'd say is - Lumia 930 is a more expensive phone than Lumia 830 (with correspondingly better specs), but Lumia 830 has some interesting points of difference when compared to Lumia 930: slimmer form factor, lighter weight, different feel in the hand, removable back cover and battery, MicroSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB, 4XG/APT700 support. You should visit a Telstra store or another retailer that stocks both models to compare them side-by-side. It's just personal preference, but I've used both and love the 830 even though it is cheaper.

  • good luck with it

  • better value for money elsewhere
