Considering the 42inch Sammy being replaced was around 1,400, yes lol.

      • Was it SD or 720p?

      • Hello?

        • Hey sorry I think its 720p

  • only 50 Hz

  • 50ms input lag, "Below average"

Input Lag/Frame Rate/50hz doesn't matter as won't be used for gaming

But 100Hz (or more) is better for sports viewing. Thought it may be of interest to you as you have kept your previous TV for a long time.

      • "Thought it may be of interest to you as you have kept your previous TV for a long time.", agree on this point, I would think the same.

      • Thanks for the suggestion haha but this is our secondary tv, we have another 50" and 58" pana plasmas that can handle that :)

    Nice big screen update,, enjoy.

  • So your Sammy crapped itself over a short timeframe and you decided to give Sammy another chance? Is never buy Samsung again for anything.

    • IMO 6-7 year lifespan for a TV by today's standards is quite good, gone are the days where you'll get 20 years out of a TV. Would have preferred to get another Panasonic but a comparable model would cost at least 500 more and their LCDs are no where near as good as their Plasmas (which they no longer make).

      • Fair enough. I've had my Sammy for about 7 years and is having a few probs now. I'll try another brand when it comes time to throw it out.

  • I wouldn't get this. Please see my previous comments (bottom of list):
