The 2011 "Secret Shiraz" dozen should be the 2011 Philip Shiraz I think, not a top tier wine, but at $70 for 12 with the voucher (under $6 a bottle) it is rather nice value ($13.30 per bottle at Dan Murphys for 6 or more currently).

Secret Shiraz description - "is crafted from small parcels cultivated in one of Australia's premier wine regions. A medium bodied wine with generous aromas of forest fruits & exotic spices, with a pallette of dark fruits, raspberries and complimented by judicious oak and fine grained tannins."

Philip Shiraz description - "is crafted from small parcels cultivated in Australia's most premium wine regions. It is medium bodied and generous with attractive aromas of forest fruits and exotic spices, joined by raspberries and dark fruits and complimented by judicious oak and fine grained tannins."

Both are listed at 13.5% alcohol and the email I got about the secret shiraz indicated it got 93 from Halliday, which matches the rating for the Philip.

    • Good find! Sadly ozbargained. I snoozed on this one!

      • Well Researched.

      • fyi was available again but now back out of stock :(

  • Does anyone know how the 2007 Elizabeth compares to their Blue Label aged semillon? I had hoped to use the voucher on the blue label, but they don't seem to have it on their website.

I couldn't guarantee it, but possibly it's just a label design change. I'm pretty sure the contents are the same. 2007 was a good year for Hunter Semillon. Their 2013 Elizabeth is also good - I'm thinking of getting 6 of each.

thanks a dozen 2011 Partisan Black Label Grenache for $70 delivered to Brisbane ($21.99 a bottle at crackawines https://www.crackawines.com.au/Partisan/2011_Partisan_Black_…)

  • Thanks - Elizabeth is always welcome at my place!

  • elizabeth is sold out :/

    • Elizabeth 2007 Elizabeth out, but 2013 still available - works out at $10/bottle delivered, better than $13.30 at Dan's.

Thanks! Not a massive fan of McWilliams, but was glad to discover other labels on offer. Paid $55 for a 6 pack of Partisan 2010 shiraz delivered (94 points James Halliday, and great value!)

  • Well done.
I went looking for a McWilliams code the other day, so very happy to see this!

  • Any suggestions for sweet taste? I don't know much about wines.

    • Don't think there's any moscato or similar on there sorry… maybe the Riesling would be as sweet as you get, but not like moscato

  • Great thanks, picked up Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Cellar Aged Semillon Case (6) for $52 with free shipping :)

  • Hi, I tried all 4 codes but none will give me free shipping on this lot? http://www.mcwilliamscellar.com.au/products/5334

    • Deal has expired. No more free shipping and codes no longer working.

      • Just tried the codes and they are still working. The free shipping was only until the end of yesterday and was not linked to the coupons.

  • Codes are still working for me, but yes - no free shipping ($10 charge)

The Partisan Black Label Shiraz 2010 seems to still be a great bargain, Crackawines say RRP is $29.99 apparently

  • Trying to use it now, it's saying "Not a valid coupon" now. Sad face :(

  • wonder if can stack with coupon code "CITIDINING" …
