Still not cheaper than the $10 movie tickets here https://www.yestickets.com.au/. Just select a mobile number at random to register if you are not an Optus customer, or purchase a $2 SIM and register the number.

      • Advantage of these tickets is "Valid for all sessions, seven days a week".

Yestickets/Telstra Tickets are not valid after 5pm Saturday.

        • Tickets valid for 3 months.

        • usually it's more than 3 months. I just bought some and it says "until 30 June 2015"

      • So if i just insert a random optus number ill get the tickets at 10 each?
Will i need to show the optus number to the cashier when i redeem the tickets?

        • Yes, the cashier will need to hold on to your phone for the duration of the movie to confirm it's validity.

        • @McFly:
Immediately un-friend people who tell you to be a comedian.

    • Hijacking top comment for the important warning that always applies to cheap movie tickets that cover only certain dates:

Please make sure there are movies you might actually want to watch coming out during the validity period, from 22-Jan to 16-Apr

      http://www.hoyts.com.au/movies/coming_soon.aspx

They always do these deals when they look at their release schedule and realise there is not much on. Most of the people who buy these get more than they can use, and regret it.

      • Unless of course you go to the movies from the 22nd Jan where you can see Birdman, PK, Boyhood, Nightcrawler, Imitation Game, American Sniper, Big Hero 6 and hopefully Whiplash still.

  • Not bad, though if you are an RACV or similar member, HOYTS adult tickets are <$11 each last I checked.

  • Will they show 50 shades?

  • I just found that the Hoyts rewards was a better deal for me when I purchased it at the Cinema not online this was Erina

it's only $10 from optus movie rewards

  • I missed those $7 village ticket days…

    • $7? I remember $6!

    • +1

      That's Event Cinemas, not Hoyts.

      • Good point, I'll take it back.

  • Is it really that much of a deal? Seems like as long as you or someone you know has Telstra or Optus, you can get $10 tickets anyway.

  • Adult movie?

    • A lot of guys stopping dismissing that 50 Shades of Grey book when the movie was announced…

  • That is an old joke jv. I used it some time ago.

  • COSTCO has $18 for 2. so effectively $9 for ticket and comes with 12 months validity

  • Actually its $13.70 each, 12.50 + 1.20 effing booking fee…..
