    I've had a Yamaha and an "Ebay" AGR/PoS Generator.

    The Yamaha is quiet, lightweight, ridiculously fuel efficient and works perfectly every time.

    The PoS Generator is louder than advertised, guzzles fuel, leaks oil and its starter failed on day one. The "warranty" process is to waste your time until you give up so the only way you'll get warranty repairs is if you're willing to go further than any sane person would e.g. self-immolation.

    That said, the Yamaha cost triple the Generator for a third of the output, so unless you're going bush or solo sailing around the world these cheap generators aren't bad value for the price.

          @manic: plenty of grey nomads carry all sorts of electrical appliances which need gennys in the bush, including aircon, TVs, hairdryers, kettles.

    Agreed - stay away from AGR machinery products.
    ****Unless you need to use it no more than 5 times ever!****
    AGR chainsaw, cut hardwood gum and softwood no more then 5 uses, carbie issue, then cord broke, then I gave up.
