Projecta 80 watt foldable solar panel system
Great for camping to run 12v fridge, batteries etc.
80 watt version here

I've been looking for a lightweight solar panel system for a while and this is the cheapest price I've found. They go for around $450 on Feebay.

WAECO CFX50 50L 12/24/240V Fridge for $969

Awesome price on this fridge. Usual price on Feebay is around $1050-$1100.
Fridge size is just right. Not too big and not too small for the average family sedan / SUV / 4WD in my opinion.
Can also charge you iphone via a USB port but rated only at 0.5A.

My anaconda don't, my anaconda don't

  • These are very light and very portable. I wouldn't bother buying the bulkier panels.

  • At ovet $5 a watt, it needs to have something going for it.

      Watt??!!

    • These panels are not cost effective for your home. These are for portable use. ie, going camping / fishing / day trips etc. By far best lightweight portable GENUINE 80W panels you will find for portable use.

    Anything good for home. Need

  • the 120w version seems to be about the same amount of discount according to the site

  • What's the advantage of this panel over something like this:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/High-efficient-100W-12V-Flexible-…
It seems to have more power (100W vs 80W), is much lighter (2KG vs 5.5KG) and is much cheaper (half the price).
The main difference I see is it doesn't fold, but it's so small and light it probably doesn't need to?

      Very quality

I'm always concerned about the quality when I see descriptions like this.

  • It maybe light and portable but its only 80watts and (really) expensive, not something an Ozbargainer would buy….

  • Only a camping oz bargained would buy this.

    • Hi

      • Hi. Yes, these panels are expensive compared to ebay but you get what you pay for. I have looked high and low for quality solar panels to run my fridge while camping and this was the cheapest quality panels I could find. Do a google search on ebay solar panels and you'll see what I mean about the quality of panels on the market.

These are monocrystalline panels with very high efficiency and are 5kg in weight compared to other panels which can be up to 12 kg! So you get what you pay for.
