$150 off a New Toshiba Notebook/Netbook with Trade-in (Toshiba NB200 for $337)

130

Update — please see the comments below for clarification from Toshiba. —scotty

This is actually a deal from Toshiba, but I used the deal at MLN where i first saw the ad so ive posted their link. It is available at any 'authorised Toshiba reseller' so this includes Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, JB HiFi, etc… so they should also be able to sort you out.

All you have to do is bring in any laptop or PC in 'any condition' (Toshiba's words, not mine) and, so long as it contains a CPU and hard disk, you can exchange your old useless computer for a shiny new laptop or netbook. I used the deal to purchase a NB200 ($487 at MLN) which got me ~30% to bring the price down to ~$337. This is the best price for a netbook with these specs i can find anywhere.

Heres the link for a NB200 on MLN:

Modreceive an email from Toshiba representative who wishes to make clarification on this trade-in rebate.

The user makes reference to the fact that you can trade-in any notebook to any retailer in exchange for $150 off a new notebook. Whilst this offer is available right now, it’s not actually available at any retailer, but only available through selected business resellers, of which customers can call this number and find out where their nearest reseller is: 13 30 70

Therefore NOT all the retail store can offer this trade in. Please call the above number to clarify.

  • As I can see NB200 only $450 at onlinecomputer http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/index.php?cPath=92_269. if so then I only need to pay $300? But the proble is can onlinecomputer accept this trade in?

    • I think it depends if you have to bring in the old PC to the retailer, or you can deal with Toshiba to get cash back.

  • I dont see how you could hand over you old computer to an online computer store so i doubt it. You would have to find a dealer with a lower price than MLN. For a full list of dealers go to http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/where-to-buy

    • I don't think so. MLN is not presented in toshiba list. but they still can process the trade-in.

  • I think this is due to the $100 cash
back promotion ending recently, a quick push for sales!

  • Cool, got plenty of dud laptops at work, might take advantage of this :)

  • I have an old pentium II pc sitting around eating dust that may come in handy… just need to decide on a Toshiba laptop. Had previously decided on Acer 4810T though, anything similar with Toshiba?
