+1 for the 'Genuine Australian Craft Beer' comment. Thankfully it wasn't a post about Matilda Bay, James Squire or Little Creatures.

"Thankfully it wasn't a post about … Little Creatures"

      Heathen

      • +1 Quite happy seeing Little Creatures showing up on tap now that it's going towards the main stream

Hahah yeah I do like it actually, drinking it right now, just wouldn't put it in the craft beer category since it got bought out and mass produced.

    Love the Kolsch.

  • Wonder if the Kolsch is the same/similar to the Cologne ones. Having just come back from spending a vast amount of time in Cologne and consuming Kolsch, I really do crave it. Might give this a go!

Just drank a Kolsch in Manly 5 minutes ago, really I have nothing good to say about it other than it tasted like beer.

Try a Feral Hops Hog if you want a great beer.

To each their own. I like my beer to taste like beer, not pure hops. It's a shame that the U.S. craft scene in particular seems to be so fixated on IPAs.

      • hop hog is the best beer i've found on australian taps

        • after coopers dark ale..

    Great beer

Im happy these guys have proper cartons of beer (x24) instead of the ridiculous (x16) cartons of beer some companies are producing. Seriously, if you are buying packs of beer with 16 beers in them, then you are part of a growing problem.

    • +1

Agreed, I LOVE Hop Hog but refuse to buy it in cartons.

    • +2

While I agree, they are still 330 ml bottles. It would be better yet if they were 375ml….

      • +1

Agreed. 330ml bottles are a scourge that needs to go away. You are essentially paying for 24 bottles and getting the equivalent of 22 and a half.

  • I prefer the pale to the kolsch. Pretty great deal, actually got Dan Murphy's to price match this earlier in the day and was going to post the deal myself but of course dedicated Ozbargainers beat me to the punch!

  • +2

Anyone here hoping the second option (not visible in the deal text on OzB's main page) was the Extra Special Bitter?

    • +1

Me, but more so their stout. It's amazing for the price.

  • Great beer +++++

  • Anyone know if this price is also available in-store?

    • Available in-store. Was mentioned in the post, but may be a little hidden.

  • The Pale Ale is great if you like hoppy American-style beers.

  • Thanks OP, this beer has been very popular in my house recently.

Showed the guy at Dan Murphys the ad and he dropped the price to $52… he was very grateful that I had the ad ready on my phone.
