    • Oh really? MKBHD swears buy it, I was about to buy one, but maybe I'll just get a nice wired mouse

Why were you changing batteries? It is rechargeable.

      • -1

Batteries are fine, I'm using the same rechargeable batteries in a Logitech 602 mouse and it's still going strong after 2 months without a recharge.

Must have been a dodgy mouse. Either way, not something I'd ever recommend.

        • +2

That still doesn't explain why you were changing batteries every week in a rechargeable mouse??

        • +1

The 602 is the super long battery life mouse. It would probably run fine even on dodgy batteries.

Ive had this mouse for about 4 years and Im still on the stock battery.

Also, its a single rechargeable AA, if your battery is bad then get a decent rechargeable AA and put that in.

I charge mine about every 2 weeks, and you can just plug in the cable and keep using it, no need to stop using it to charge it.

      • Battery life is about 1 week, maybe 2 if you don't use it very often.

I have 2 rechargeable AA's that I use for this mouse 2450mAh, swap out the low battery one for a full battery one, that way there is never any waiting for it to be charged or needing to use it like a cabled mouse for even one second.

This mouse is quite good, not as perfect as a wired mouse in terms of tracking but very close because it doesn't always respond perfectly (only about 95% of the time). Sometimes lags if you plug too many things into your USB ports at once.

never had this issue - mouse comes with an eneloop AA
I charge about every two to three weeks

I'd say you have a dud battery in yours

      • Yep, battery life is excellent on mine.

I bought one from Officeworks on 14th January (price-matched from the Bing Lee deal), to replace my dodgy company-supplied mouse at work.

I charged it the first night and it hasn't needed a charge since. That's ~70 hours of constant use over 8 working days, plus overnight stand-by for 2 weeks. And the battery indicator says it's still at least half full. At this rate, I'm expecting it to last about 1 month between charges - not too shabby!

I also have the G700s wireless gaming mouse - the battery life on that is much worse. 3 days at the outside for that one.

    • Why change the battery? It has a rechargeable in it.

I've got the m950t (which I believe is the same - it has "Performance MX" on the underside). I bought it together with the k800 keyboard (MX800 bundle). I paid $128 at JB… bit bummed when it was going for $102, but that always happens when I buy something.

I've had it for about 2 weeks and i've had to recharge the mouse using the mini-USB cable 3 times (roughly every 4 or 5 days), and in that time, I still haven't had to charge the keyboard even once (yet). Charging only takes a couple of hours and you can still use the mouse with the cable plugged in.

It's one of the best mice available. My only criticism of it is the zoom button is too close to the back button on the side.

I've owned this mouse. Battery live is great. I've never changed batteries, let alone every week.
Probably one of Logitech's best mice IMO.

I have had this mouse for about 2 years and it works fine, battery life is good. Mine came with an eneloop battery and as already commented its rechargeable so if it runs low you can just plug in a usb cable to charge it whilst you continue to use it.

yep. probably the best mouse I've ever owned. my only gripe was very occasionally with a middle click, you'd feel it click but if the wheel was tilted slightly sometimes the computer wouldn't register the click under Ubuntu. seemed to register every time under windows though. odd.

I now have a g602 at home for occasional gaming, and have taken my performance mx in to my work for all day desktop use (because the mice work gives us are frikken terrible cheapest wired pieces of crap).
My performance mx is still going strong, and I bought it in a dell sale in 2010 for $64 delivered(!). Well worth it then, would buy again at this price if I needed to.

    • Mine has a GP Recyko battery in it, not an Eneloop.

As for the middle click issue… there's a batch of them that are somewhat "faulty". The first one I tried, the middle button had to be pressed really hard for it to click and even then it only seemed to register once every 3 or 4 clicks. The left mouse button was noticeably louder than most mice too.

I exchanged it for another one and it's fine. The scroll wheel and middle button clicks properly and left/right mouse buttons are far more quiet too.

With the battery life, i'm only getting 4 or 5 days out of mine, but I leave it (and my k800 keyboard) switched on all the time, and I do use my PC for 6-8 hours a day, so I guess it's not bad. It's not that much of a pain having to plug it in and re-charge it for a couple of hours.

+1 to all the comments. Use one at home and at work. Awesome mouse.

  • Got this with the K800 Wireless Keyboard from the JB specials the other day. Looking forwards to receiving it.

    • I'm not sure if the "t" makes a difference, but the performance MX has certainly been called the 950 in other markets. Also, look at the URL you posted. Seems like the right one.

  • I've used for 3 years and never had any issues with it.

  • I've used this mouse for years. Found it to be very comfortable and never had any issues with it.

Batteries last what seem like months - very rarely have to charge it.

Due to this deal, I'm getting a second one to use at work, as I find this mouse to be very good.

  • started using this as i bought the mx800 keyboard & mouse combo deal @ jb hifi on the weekend
found the tracking to be rubbish… using it on mac mini, brief google search suggests i'm not the only mac user with same problem. should've done the research before i bought it :(

  • Using this mouse right now on my home desktop and have the m950 (predecessor) at work for 5 years+. Both excellent and both still on the original rechargeable battery (50 hours of computer use a week at work plus standby).

  • I have one, it has a slight input lag. Very annoying for FPS just incase anyone was getting crazy ideas.

  • Expired already I think. I see $59.95 sold by Amazon.com

  • I just placed an order successfully.
I may have had it in my shopping card before it ran out.

I guess I will see if it arrives.

  • price has gone down again.. just bought one :)
already have one… but always handy to have another one!
might leave this one at work instead of lugging mine around all the time.. in lieu of the terrible 50c lenovo corded mice..

  • this best mouse ever
