  • Good timing on the AirDisk Pro app

I am about to go on holidays and have just learned my wife who doesn't normally bother with watching movies wants my Nexus 7 and OTG/Thumb drives to watch her movies.
So I am stuck with an ipad and therefor I will need to transfer some TV/shows to it before leaving.

Is there an easier way to watch media on the ipad without transferring? Its got close to zero room

    • Maybe you can try Tonido?

      • Yer I dont think that will work in a plane.
AT home I normally just use Plex. and on holidays I use my nexus and thumb drives

    • I use this: http://www.kingston.com/en/wireless/wireless_readers#mlwg2 and it has worked great so far.

      • Yes they would work. Maybe I should just go and get myself one.

Another alternative I just thought. Perhaps I can get some DLNA server app for android. Put it on my phone and then I can put SD cards and serve that to my iPad

  • Any in-app purchases ?

    • Just for cloud services.

  • I use this in the car while travelling
    http://www.seagate.com/au/en/external-hard-drives/portable-h…

setup a wireless network in the car….browse to the drive - it just works
minimum hassles and no more wires

  • its no longer free

    • Still says Free when you click through on the browser.

      • when i click the Go to Deal, it does says free in the browser, but when yiu click on it and view on iTunes, its no longer free.

please confirm if its free in your itunes?

        • +1

Yeah it's no longer free, the reason it showed free on the browser is because the deal link was US, but when you open in iTunes it's AU, it's probably still free in US due to time difference. Marked expired

  • Telling me it's 2.49 as well
